The sun was already risen. I spent the night doing some school stuff. Now I'd like to spend the day sleeping. I haven't slept on the daytime for long. I really wanted to do that today, or at least staying under the roof of the mansion, not under the sun. For the one who thought vampires couldn't stand the sunlight, you're completely wrong. We do could handle the sunlight but since we didn't need to provide vitamin D in our body, we didn't need the sunlight.

It burned but not like the fire burned, rather like the LED light burned. It's still hot, but not the degree to set the smoke on our skin. Despite that, vampires didn't like the brightness. We're the creatures of the night. We're accustomed to a few light in our eyes not the brightness of the sun. So, it's not comfortable to spend the time on beach or the place where no roof available on daylight.

I stood up from my office chair and went to the bathroom. I wanted to refresh my self before going to bed.

After shower, I watched my reflection on the mirror. I could see my hazel eyes getting red. Looked like I need blood before crashed to the bed. I let my blonde hair untouched and grabbed my favorite attire at home that just consists of a pair of sweatpants. I liked to bare chest at home, or just a shirt with the buttons undone.

After finished everything, I went down stairs to the kitchen. I could see Theo with his laptop. Sensing me, he looked up and smirked.

"No job today? "

I shook my head, "I want to sleep today. Really tired after doing school stuff last night. "

He just nodded and backed to his laptop. I open the fridge and grabbed some blood bags. Danielle always made sure that the fridge had blood bags stocked to the max. He had a connection to the hospitals and blood banks.

I finished all with no time and sat on the sofa opposite Theo.

"It's been decades. Still no mate in the sight." I inhaled deeply. Theo looked up and inhaled too. He leaned to the sofa and closed his laptop.

"Yeah. I don't know when she will come. Still got hope though"

"Just wait" William's voice from behind me was heard full of hope.

"Are you sure you can't predict the time she would come, William?" Theo asked.

He shook his head, "sorry, Theo. I can't do that. You know my vision can predict the events but not the time. I wish I could do better." He sat down beside me.

I patted his shoulder, and smiled.

"Don't worry, Will. We'll find her, soon or later"

He nodded. I stood and walked up the stairs, ready for bed.

"Don't disturb me"

I closed my door, and walked to a table where I put my vinyl turntable. It was from my past and a hundred years old already. I kept it and took care of it very carefully. In return, it played music from the records beautifully.

I enjoyed the music and sat on the sofa near my window. I could see my beautiful yard from here.

I imagined when I already had my soulmate, I would asked her to dance with me with the music from the turntable as the background.

Hopefully, she could dance. But if she couldn't, I still would be able to make her dance with me.

After a few songs, I turned it off and laid down on the bed. I thought about us. We had lived for thousands years but still felt empty inside.

As one of a descent of Royal vampire, I had a obligation to manage the clans of vampires out there. I created plans for wars, helped other clans fighting werewolves, or helped them fighting rogues, hosted annual royal balls and so on.

I was quite busy. That's why when William asked us to build a university, I gave a doubt about that. Even I never watch his vision missed, but I don't want to add more task managing a university while I had many things to do. But his next word eliminated all of my doubt.

"Because we'll find our mate there"

We had been waiting for her to come to our lives for decades since the prophecy. His words brought hope to our longing hearts.

But since he couldn't predict the time we could find her, we're waiting while managing the university that we called Adheira University.

That's the story why the members of our clan and I blended in with the humans in Adheira university, and this year was our 3rd decade. Me as the principal, Henry as the head of development, Danielle as the doctor, William as the history teacher, Edward as the gym teacher, Lucifer as one of the students, along with Theodore.

Every year we scanned each new students if they had the special smell that specifically screamed 'our mate'. Of course with the not suspicious ways.

But to this day, we still had no luck.
