That makes sense

“I need blood.”

Dane was looking at me with a blank face.

“You don’t need transfusion, Amy. The medicine was enough to boost your blood production.“ He smiled and fixed the bandage on my arm.

“No.. Not the transfusion. Blood, as in drink.“

He stopped his movement and looked at me. I could see his forehead creased.

“What do you mean, Amy? You’re not a vampire. You don’t drink blood.“

He smiled but not so sure. It didn't reach his eyes.

I inhaled first before continued.

“I am a half vampire. I don’t survive by blood but I can use it to boost my immune system and healing process.”

He looked at me intensely, not believing what I’d said. He was silent for a while, maybe he needed a time to process what I'd said. I could understand that. Everyone who heard me telling them I'm a half vampire would do that. Even though I just told it to a very few people.

After a while, he opened his mouth, like finally figured something out.

“That makes sense now.” He finished his work. After made sure the bandage was right in its place, he collected his stuff and put them in his box.

“I will tell to the rest and bring some blood for you after, Amy.”

I nodded and watched him left.

He must told the guys about me. They really shared everything. Did they share any women before me?

I slapped my face, made me cringed. I didn’t suppose to think about that. I just became their soulmate for a day and already jealous. Their past was theirs, I couldn't change that. I should only focus on our present.

There's so many problems needed to think about and my mind just decided to think about their past. That's not a nice thing to do.

I took my blanket and decided to close my eyes since it was getting so late. I could think about this later.

Dane pov

“She is what?” Edward yelled next to me, just so close to my ear. It felt like it rang through my skull. If only I could slapped him in the face.

Well..maybe he was just like me. Looked like he was surprised too. Everyone was, with different responses.

“I thought she smells different just because she is our soulmate. I never thought she was a half vampire.” Henry said.

I nodded. She was like a mystery. She was the ocean of secrets and we knew nothing about her.

“I’ve never met a half vampire before. How about you, Alex?” William asked him.

He shook his head.

“I’ve heard one thing or two, but never met in person. It was long time ago, I didn’t really remember about it.”

“I thought that too. In the studies I’d learned about some cases of half breeds in the books, but not find any real case. They said if the mother is a human, she couldn’t survive the pregnancy since the vampires baby was so strong and left the burden to the mother. If the mother’s a vampire, the human DNA couldn’t merge with the vampire DNA and died instantly. Some who survive the conception sometimes being killed by the mother’s blood because her body think that her baby is a foreign object.” I explained.

“She was a miracle.” Lucifer said with his expensive voice.

That could be true. We thought about it. Yes, she was definitely a miracle. She was one of a kind and perfect for us.

“She’s perfect for us.” Theo said.

“Yeah.. Now I know she will survive when we pound into her.” Lucifer again said something related to his sexual drive.

Everyone was glaring at him.

“You sound really sexually frustrated, Lucifer” Alex rolled his eyes.

“Yeah.. How long you hadn’t had sex?” Henry asked grinning.

“Too long” He answered shortly.

Theo laughed, “I can feel you, dude. Since we got the prophecy, I can’t really satisfied during sex.”

“Yes. I feel that too. Like something was missing.” Edward said.

“Maybe the expectancy made us yearning for the perfect match.” William chimed in.

Alex nodded, “we know how a soulmate can affect someone’s life. Maybe like William said, we are yearning for her. That’s why we never feel satisfied”

I didn’t yearn for her before, but after knowing her this months, I knew how they felt. Destined or not, she was really the perfect match for me, the perfect match for us. I fell for her too.

“Back to her request. She needs blood to heal faster. Do you still have the stash?” William asked me.

“I still have it in my office in the hospital. I plan to take it tomorrow, but I don’t have any now. Lucifer, you always keep some. Do you have one now?” I asked him.

He shook his head, “I spent the last after the attack.”

Everyone was same to him. They spent the last bag of blood after back to the mansion with her unconscious in my arms.

“I will take some from hospital.” I left them to my room. I took my bag with me and drove off to hospital.

The hospital I work at had a connection to the blood bank. They regularly taking blood donation and gave to the people who needed. The management was managed by some vampires and became our number one blood banks. Sometimes when there’s no blood donation, the administrator would collect from some paid donors we had. The vampires from the whole city would paid for the blood and the bank would had a bloody good business. Literally.

The night was already late. I just saw a few cars on the way to my office. The most annoying one was a black sedan in front of me. When I drove in the left lane, it followed. When I drove to the right, it followed again even I already turned on the sign light. In the angry state, I kicked my gas and drove faster. Thank God I was good at driving. I hoped I wouldn’t see that car again when I was on my way back.
