I sat down in the living room when Theo, Alex, Henry and Edward entered the mansion. They had various emotions on their faces. Theo looked furious, Henry and Alex looked determined and Edward looked curious.
"What's going on, guys?"
Theo sat down and wiped his face. The others also sat and exhaled hard.
"We almost found her." Henry said.
"Who?" I asked him then gulped down the rest of the wine in my glass.
"Our soulmate"
I choked on my drink and it almost hit Edward on his face.
"You're gross, Dane". He wiped it with a piece of wipe.
I coughed a little and asked them.
"What did you said? Our soulmate?"
"We went to the bar and ordered the drinks. We found out that the blood in them was different." Alex spoke and put down a blood bag. The smell from it was sweet and intoxicated. Like it had a pull for me.
Edward poked a drop of the blood and tasted it. His eyes went bigger and his face getting pale.
"It has the same scents with the girl in the gas station." He exclaimed. Everyone looked at him.
"Did you meet her?" Theo asked.
Edward exhaled loudly, his expression told he's disappointed. "Unfortunately, no. She just finished her shift and went away. I just smelled her scents and the cashier told me that her name is Amy. I tried to asked more, but he doesn't know anything about her."
Then the room went silent. Everyone was lost in their thoughts. I wondered who was she, the soulmate they said.
I liked the idea of the soulmate, but I didn't mind if we never found her. I love my life with the clan, nothing that I wanted to change. I would be happy if we'll found her, but didn't mind if we won't. But my clan seemed very expectant to it. They were so eager to find her. Every year when new students came, they would put more efforts to find out each students' scent. I thought it was stupid. If we were destined to find her, we would. No need extra effort for it.
I left them to their world and I got back to the TV program I watched before. It's a series about doctors in a hospital. I liked watching it because I could compared the plots with realities in the real world.
Some of the medical cases in the series were brought based on the real cases. I would search for the case and learned how the doctors figured the solutions out. So if it happened in my hospitals, I already had a reference to solve it.
One by one, my clan went to their rooms along my watching. They sure had different things in their mind right now, but just one thing the same, it's about the soulmate.
A few minutes in the middle of my watching, Lucifer entered the house. He was drenched. He sat down on the sofa and grabbed the beer that Edward brought home earlier. He also looked distant. Something must be happened to him. Was it about the soulmate too?
"What's up?" I asked him.
"The sky". I raised my eyebrows and rolled my eyes. Typical Lucifer. If he found nothing's important, he would stay quiet. It's so hard to made him opened his mouth.
After finished his second can of beer, he stood up and went to his room.
I let him be. There's nothing I could do to make him change his mind.I just finished my watching, then turned off the TV and began back to my room, searching for the case. It's about a woman who had never ending orgasms and led her to a car accident. I had to search if this condition was real or just a drama.
I opened many books and on-line library to find it. And I got one online.
PGAD (persistent genital arousal disorder), also known as persistent sexual arousal syndrome, was first diagnosed in 2001. Its primary feature is a feeling of constant genital arousal for extended periods of time, despite having one or more orgasms.
Women with PGAD have intense, spontaneous orgasms. These powerful, involuntary reactions can happen day or night, and the climax can last for several minutes.
In some cases, PGAD is triggered by sexual activity or nonsexual stimuli. But in many cases, feelings seemingly appear out of nowhere and are focused in the genitals. It doesn't matter what she's doing or where, a woman with this condition doesn't feel sexual excitement or desire despite her body's reactions. She feels awkward, distracted and even disturbed by these orgasmic fits.
Wow.. It's really interesting. I'd never encountered this condition before.
Wait.. I once met a woman who was really sex-maniac. She constantly seduced me to have sex with her in any minutes, not care wherever we were or what were we doing. I wondered if this was PGAD condition too.
I began doing my research again. After a few minutes, I'd found one.
Back in 1903, German psychiatrist Baron Richard von Krafft-Ebing described nymphomaniac women who mirrored PGAD in some ways. For example, they were tormented by sexual excitement, like vibrations and pulsations, in the genitals. Yet nymphomaniac women also described sexual thoughts and fantasies, whereas the women being diagnosed with PGAD did not. Women with PGAD experience intense genital congestions and sensations without any conscious awareness of sexual excitement.
Well.. Looked like that woman was just sex-craved.
I searched more about it and sat on my chair. My mind started to wonder to the thing my clan was yearning for, a soulmate. Part of my brain hoped she didn't have PGAD. It's a bad condition despite the joy it brought. How if it happened when she was in the car, driving. The feeling would distract her and could made her lost control and involved in an accident.
But part of my brain hoped she was a nymphomaniac, even just a little bit.Well.. Since she would lived with seven strong vampires who didn't get satisfaction in sex for decades. I really hoped for that.
That brought me to think I had to prepare some ointments, pain killers, ice packs, some antibiotics, and anything to reduce inflammation and burning sensation. My clan was definitely beasts, they were usual to rough intercourse. I should prepare those before she came. Maybe sooner since they said they had encountered with a girl that being suspected as our soulmate.
Amy...
Her name was perfect in my tongue. I wonder who she is. How did she look like, how old she's, and my biggest question, what is she? Is she a human, vampire, or werewolf or any eternal creatures? I hope she wasn't a werewolf. I didn't like werewolves so much. I never had a good impression of them. They're rough, rude and stone headed. It's ok if she's a human, as long she was strong enough to handle 7 powerful vampires like us.
I exhaled slowly and stood, reaching a bottle of water on my coffee table. I gulped all in one go.
After that I sat on my bed. I didn't feel like sleeping now. I grabbed a book on my shelf and read it. It's a medics book written in Hebrew, my mother's language when I was still a human.
I was a doctor in the war back then. I helped soldiers, treated their wounds, and brought them to health. But I couldn't helped my self. I was infected by a disease. There's no cure back then. I just waiting for my time to die when Alex came to my life. He changed me, and gave me new life. I could be a full time doctor without setting my foot in wars. I had my own lab and had the best supplies for my studies from all over the world. And with his help, I could be a better doctor and save many lives. I found many cures for sicknesses and kept doing that for decades.
I really enjoyed my life now, and didn't feel like changing it anytime soon. Having a soulmate wasn't my plan. If she came to our lives, I didn't know if it's the best or not. She might changed our lives and I didn't think that I'm ready for it.
Well.. I guess I just better get going then, and see if she's good enough for us.
