Chapter Ten – Mysterious

Nilubog ko ang sarili sa bathtub. I closed my eyes and naalala ko na naman yong nangyari kagabi. Damn, bakit nangyayari to? This is the Second time na nangyari ang ganito. Last time was yong kay Kuya Greg, and now... Hayzt...

Wait...

I took my phone na nakalagay sa gilid, then texted that man.

(JEH's POV)

"What do you want to talk about Mr. Stanley?" She asked then sipped the coffee.

Andito kami sa isang coffee shop.

Now that were here, parang nagdadalawang isip na tuloy ako.

"Okay. Before you asked something, ako muna ang magtatanong... Why are you doing this?" She asked.

Ayan na nga ba sinasabi ko.

"I'm just curious."

"Oh really?" Nakangiting sabi niya.

"And she saved my sister. And..."

"And?"

Napabuntong-hininga ako. Wala na ako ibang maisip na dahilan.

"She's mysterious that's why you are drawn to her. Yon ba?"

Napakibit balikat lang ako.

"Just like I said on the phone, I can't tell you anything about her."

"Why?"

"It's for her safety."

"I don't understand."

She sighed.

"You know what Mr. Stanley, her life is a complicated one. At a young age, she experienced worst things. She became what she is now dahil sa mga nangyari sa buhay niya."

"Then, nasaan mga magulang niya? You're not her mother since wala kang anak."

Napangiti siya sa sinabi ko.

"Yes. I am just her guardian. Her parents? I can't tell you."

"But they are still alive right?"

"Yup. Okay. May sasabihin ako sayo... She's born in a complicated family and never received the love of real parents. That's all I can say. If you want to know more, you have to open her heart." She said and umalis na.

I sighed.

"Open her heart eh?..."

(SKY's POV)

I am in the pier right now - waiting for my targets. Ayon sa nakasulat, magkakaroon ng drug negotiation sa Port No. 2 mamaya.

Haay... Why can't these bastards just die? If only killing is not a crime, matagal ko ng pinatay ang mga tulad nila.
