It has been an hour since Nigel got home with his wife and niece, thought Kahil, sitting outside looking up at Delilah's room. Delilah, the woman no man can have. Well, she was definitely a spoiled brat. After she insulted him earlier, she didn't dare look towards him. As soon as he opened the door when they arrived, she turned her face the other way and tripped, falling straight into his arms. She quickly pushed him away as if his touch burned her.

He had been warned about her, but he just didn't listen. He had to see with his own eyes. But although she was the way she was, he liked her, he wanted her. He didn't know how, but he'll have to mold her. She would eventually be his. He already knew he had an effect on her, without even showing his face.

As soon as Delilah entered her room she sighted. That touch was fire. What was with the doorman that made her feel things she had never felt before? When he opened the door she tried looking straight, but tripped and he caught her in his arms, those strong warm arms. She quickly pushed him away, she wanted to look up at him, see his face. Why did he always look down and never at her? She walked to her bed and found a red rose next to a folded piece of paper and quickly hid it under her pillow when she heard her door open.

"You should learn how to knock, Elizabeth. This is my room." She said as she saw Elizabeth walk into her room.

"This is my house. I don't have to knock. Not even your door."

"What do you want?"

"Dear, your uncle is worse. Did you see him at dinner?"

"I observed him and he doesn't look good. I guess you were right. I didn't want to believe you."

"We were just talking and he said he is going to die without walking you down the aisle, without seeing you wed to a nice man. You don't know how sad that makes me."

"Elizabeth, what do you want me to do?"

"Okay." Elizabeth sat on the bed and grabbed the rose. "What is this?"

"A rose." Delilah snatched the rose out of her hand and placed it on her desk.

"Where did it come from?" She asked curiously.

"I, um, got it from the garden earlier."

"Really? Haven't seen that specific red color on any of our roses."

"Don't know what to tell you."

"Right, so, I think you should keep seeing Steve in the meantime. Until I find someone that stirs something in you."

"Finding someone, that should be easy." Delilah said sarcastically.

"I don't think so. I saw the way you looked at Kahil."

"Kahil, who's that?"

"The new doorman."

"The doorman? Why would I be looking at the doorman? You must be crazy if you think I am going to go for a staff member."

"God, you really are a shallow bitch. For once you should get down from that perfect world of yours and think about your uncle!"

"Elizabeth, I can't marry a servant. Papa wouldn't approve of that."

"Delilah, he would approve of anything you want. Plus, you won't be destitute. You'll have money. You'll both work, and your uncle is leaving you a great sum of money, but only if you marry. And people will think differently of you. You won't be referred to as a spoiled brat anymore. Think about it, I know you feel something for Kahil."

"What I feel for him is something I have never felt before for anyone else, okay?"

"It's love! Oh my God, you've finally fallen in love."

"Don't jump to conclusions."

"But that's it. Anyway, I'll give you some time to think. Meanwhile, keep hopes up, for your uncle's sake."

"I'll try, Elizabeth. But he makes it so hard."

"Good night."

After Elizabeth left her room, Delilah looked for the folded piece of paper under her pillow and sat down to read it.

"This rose for the most beautiful one. The owner of the greenest eyes, of the most tempting hair. Her voice still echoes in my heart. Now she owns forever my life, my love and my heart. Forever she will. Yours always, K.K."

"K.K.? Could it be Kahil?" She thought. "No, it can't be."
