"Delilah?" George asked, knocking on the door. "Please, Delilah, open up."

"Um, I can't. I'm sick. You can catch it." She said.

George stepped back, then slammed himself against the door and it flew open. He found Delilah in front of the mirror, checking her bruises. He quickly walked towards her. "Oh my God. He did this to you?" He gently held her face to the light.

"Please, don't tell him you saw me. He told me to stay locked in the room all day."

He tried to hug her but she winced in pain. He turned her around and uncovered her back, it was filled with bruises. He took her to the bed. "Sit down." He knelt in front of her. "How could he do this to you? I'm going to help you get out of here."
"No! He will kill Tommy."

"His son?"

"He doesn't care about him. Help Maria escape. I can't. I'm married to him and Tommy is his son, not mine."

"But you have to look out for yourself and the baby you're carrying. Then we can help Tommy."

"No, I can't leave him behind." She said standing up and trying to walk away. He grabbed her by the shoulders and forced her to look at him.

"Delilah, you need to save your baby's life and yours!"

"Tommy is also my son!"

"You aren't as shallow or selfish as everyone seems to think you are."

"This is not the moment to be selfish. I'm sorry."

"I will help you. I will do anything to get you out of here."

"Why, George? Why?"

"Because I care about you. I never stopped caring about you. I was an ass, and for that I apologize. I should've never broken up with you. Do you really love Steve?" He asked, caressing her cheek.

"No, I hate him. I despise him. My life is miserable because of him. He practically forced me to marry him. He threatened Tommy's life." She said crying.

"Come with me." He said, clearing her tears. "With me, you wouldn't have to worry anymore. I will make you happy. I'll give you a home, a safe one. And a happy life for you and your baby, even for Tommy. Would you let me help you and then you can help me?"

"Help you how?"

"Let me give you all the things I just said." He gently kissed her.

She slowly pushed him away. "George, although I appreciate it. I don't think I can love you the way you deserve."

"Is it the baby's father? I'm guessing it's not Steve's."

"Yes."

"I understand. But where is he? He isn't here, I'm here right now willing to help you out and give you what you do deserve. Will you let me help you?" He asked while she nodded.

"Kahil!" Nigel said as Kahil entered his office. "What... what are you doing here?"

"Tell me where I can find Delilah."

"Delilah? What do you want with her?"

"Don't be playing games. You sent me that newspaper clip, you were expecting me to show up sooner or later."

"I haven't seen her since they buried Steve's father. And honestly, they never gave me their new address. Go to my house, Maria Dayton is staying there, she stayed with Delilah and Steve for a while, she can give you the address. Please, Kahil, I know there's something going on over there. Please, save her."

"What do you mean? I thought she was happy with Steve. It's what she wanted."

"She can't be happy. Last time I saw her she looked forced."

"I'll only help her if she wants my help. Honestly, I just came to clear something with her."

"It has to be something important. Coming all the way from Italy and all. You care about her."

"I love her, Mr. Thornton. But, if she doesn't tell me she feels the same, there's nothing I can do."

"Delilah, Steve just called me. He's not coming home tonight." George said entering her room.

"He has Tommy. I just called my uncle's house and he's not there. He's punishing me! He's already mad that Maria left."

"Don't say that. Look, I've known Steve for a really long time. I don't think he's capable of hurting a kid." He said taking her to the living room.

"I never thought he was capable of hurting anyone, now look at me." She said sitting down on the couch as the doorbell rang. "Who could that be?" She asked, scared.

"I have no idea." George said, walking towards the door. He opened it and Kahil stepped in looking at him.

"Who the hell are you?" Kahil asked, annoyed.

"Kahil!" Delilah said, running towards him and jumping into his arms. "What are you doing here?"

"Who is this guy?" Kahil asked putting her down without taking his eyes off George.

"He's... he's a friend." Delilah said.

"Right. Tell me, who's the father of the baby you're expecting?"

"What? How do you know?"

"It's all over the papers, Delilah. Delilah Dayton is expecting!" He said sarcastically.

"You're such an asshole."

"Me? Or are you confusing me with someone else?" Kahil yelled.

"Hey, buddy. Chill out." George said, trying to get in the way.

Kahil grabbed George by his throat. "Don't you buddy me. Not in the mood."

"Kahil! Let him go!"

"Who is the father, Delilah?"

"Get out of my house. Now!" She said and he finally looked at her.

"What happened to your face?" He said dropping George and walking towards her.

She backed away, scared. "Please, leave." She whispered.

"Is that what you really want? I came for you, Delilah."

"I don't need you." He grabbed her and kissed her hard. At first she fought him, but then gave up to his kisses, melting her pain away.

"You know what?" He said breaking the kiss. "I don't believe you." He pulled her aside, opened the door and left.

"Who was that?" George asked, rubbing his throat.

"That's the father. The man I love."

"Why didn't you tell him the truth?"

"Because no matter what, we will never be able to be happy."

"With me I promise you will be." He placed his arm around her shoulder.
