"Steve." Elizabeth whispered. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked as she entered her room and found him on her bed with Tommy sleeping by his side.

"I needed to see you. Delilah is pregnant."

"Yeah, I read the papers. Congratulations. Oh, wait. It's not yours." She laughed.

"Correct, I need you to keep Tommy for a while."

"Why?"

"To torture Delilah for a while. But you can't tell her he is here."

"You know who came here today?"

"Who?" Steve asked uninterested.

"Kahil."

"What the hell was he doing here?"

"He came looking for Delilah. He was asking Maria for your address."

"Maria is here?" He asked curiously.

"Um, she was. But she left quickly. Don't know where she's staying, because her parents don't want her there."

"Dammit. That bitch got away from me. Kahil! I wonder what he wants."

"Maybe you should go and ask your wife."

"I'm staying here tonight." He said kicking his shoes.

"No you're not. And you better leave quickly."

"Why not?" He asked, walking towards her and started kissing her neck.

She pushed him away hard. "Steve, stop. Nigel is going to come up soon."

"You guys sleep together?"

"Of course, he's my husband."

"That didn't stop you before."

"I love my husband. Please, leave!"

"Hey, baby. It doesn't work like that, you know? Remember, I own you!"

"No, I own you. If you don't leave right now, I'll go to the cops and tell them how you killed Julie."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Just try me, Steve!"

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I'm tired of you. I'm tired of you treating me and Maria like your possessions. Leave!"

"Fine, I'll leave. Just keep the brat for a while."

"I don't know, Mr. Thornton, but I don't believe her." Kahil said over dinner.

"I find it odd. She used to tell me everything. First she told me she would never marry Steve, and then suddenly she changes her mind and tells me she is marrying him."

"There is something going on. And her bruises. Her face was covered in them. She was so happy to see me that she jumped into my arms but my jealousy took hold of me seeing that other man there that I didn't pay attention to her face until the end and she was already kicking me out of the apartment." Kahil said looking at Maria that kept her eyes on her plate.

"Maria, dear, where is Lisa?" Nigel asked her.

"She had a headache and retired to her room. I'll go check on her." Maria said, running out of the dining room.

"Poor girl. Her husband kills himself and then her family kicks her out."

"You said she was staying with Steve and Delilah, what happened there?"

"She never said."

"Elizabeth?" Maria asked, knocking on the door.

Elizabeth quickly opened the door and stepped outside, closing the door behind her. "Yes?"

"What's going on?"

"Steve was just here, in my room."

"Does he know I am here?"

"He's leaving you alone, don't worry about him."

"What did he want?"

"He left Tommy here for a while, supposedly to punish Delilah."

"She needs to get away from him. Apparently, he beat her up."

"Are you serious? How do you know that?"

"Kahil is having dinner with us. He went over there and said her face is covered in bruises."

"Damn, Steve. He's insane."

"I wish there was something I could do to help her. She helped me get out." Maria said as Elizabeth looked at her nervously.

"Steve! What are you doing here?" George asked, getting up from the table as soon as Steve walked in.

"Delilah, what the hell are you doing out of your room?" Steve asked furiously.

"You should've told me, Steve. That she was assaulted. I can't believe it. This looks like such a nice neighborhood." George said.

"Assaulted, yeah. I didn't want anybody to see her pretty face all ruined. How are you feeling today, honey?" He asked, kissing her forehead.

"I... I feel fine. Where were you all day? I missed you." She quietly said.

"I was working."

"Um, where's Tommy?"

"He's at my aunt's house. Figured we needed some alone time." He said, looking at George and grabbing Delilah's arm lifting her up from the chair. "George, Delilah and I will be retiring now, okay? Come, honey." She got up and looked at George scared.

"What did Kahil want?" Steve asked, locking the door behind them.

"He wanted to know who was the father of the baby."

"What did you tell him?"

"I kicked him out. I didn't answer him."

"Good girl, and what did he do?"

"He said he didn't believe me and left."

"If he ever comes back here again, you can kiss that baby goodbye." He said as she grabbed her stomach. "So make sure he keeps his distance. I'm going to be leaving for a few days. George is going to keep an eye on you."

"Are you going to bring Tommy?"

"No."

"Why are you doing this to me?"

"You dare ask? You disobeyed me!"

"When?"

"I told you not to leave the room, and the first chance you got, I found you outside."

"He came into the room, what was I supposed to do?"

"You still owe me."

"Why now?"

"Why now? You're having another man's baby. Isn't that enough? Go to sleep, I need to pack."
