Coming home I was ecstatic. My pulse wouldn't decrease, and I was constantly smiling. Good thing mum and dad were at work because if they saw me now, I was certain they would know that something had happened. Something incredibly good, but something they weren't supposed to know. I believed nothing could destroy my good mood, and I was eager to find Maggie to tell her.

"Mia where's Maggie?" I asked walking into the laundry room.

"I believe she's in her room. I don't think she's feeling well. She didn't want to talk about it though. Poor thing hasn't been eating anything all day." Mia gave me an apologetic smile, and I nodded in thanks before I headed upstairs. Suddenly, I felt bad for feeling like I did when Maggie wasn't feeling well. But when I saw the state she was in my mood changed for the worse just as I had been certain nothing could.

"Mags, what's wrong?" I asked feeling shivers run down my spine as I entered her room. The temperature seemed to drop step by step, and I no longer felt warm. Instead I felt incredibly cold and knew that this, whatever it was, wasn't good.

Her cries were prominent, but she didn't say anything. She just stayed in the position she was lying in hiding her face while small soft cries escaped her lips.

"Mags what happened?" I tried as I sat down on her bed placing a hand on her back, but she didn't reply. "Cmon talk to me."

She took a pillow and covered her face with it, but I could still hear her cries. It was heartbreaking to watch her even if I had no idea what had happened.

"Maggie, please." I begged. There wasn't many things that I hated, but I truly hated seeing her like this.

"Can't you just leave me the fuck alone?" She screamed at me throwing the pillow.

"Not until you tell me what happened," I said, and she stared at me with teary eyes while her mascara ran down her cheeks. She was furious, and I hoped I wasn't the reason.

"You'd love it too much. You knew this would happen. That's why you're so fucking scared yourself. That's why you are trying so hard to be perfect. You don't want life to hit you in the face. Well, it hit me. Hard. Now go ahead and tell me you knew this would happen. This is exactly why you're not living your life yourself," she continued to yell, and a lump formed in my throat. Her words hurt, yet I was confused. I had absolutely no idea what had happened to her. But even though I had been eager to tell her about Harry and I's kiss, I knew now wasn't the right time.

"What are you talking about?" I asked carefully.

"Luke kissed someone else."

"What? Mags. I'm sorry," I told her sincerely feeling bad for her.

"No, you're not. This is exactly what you wanted to happen. Now, you know you were right in not letting yourself go that far with Harry. You can gloat all you want. You knew this would happen." I was speechless at her words, and I began to wonder if Harry and I had moved too fast. Here, I was all happy I had kissed him, and there Maggie was regretting that she had kissed Luke. Things could too easily change for the worse and that scared me.

"I'm still sorry. I don't like seeing you this way," I said while I exited her room feeling like she had punched me in the gut. I walked to my room and called Harry. I had agreed to meet him again tomorrow, but from what I could tell Maggie needed me, and I wanted to make sure she was alright, first. Right now, she was my number one priority even if I was eager to see Harry again. But he would have to wait until Monday.

"Hey doll, you alright?" His voice was cheerful, and I smiled at his name for me.

"Yes. How 'bout you. You okay?"
