Chapter 5- Meltdown In Makati

"Are you fucking dead serious about this Zoe? Your department still places dead fucking last on the list of all departments! Sa ginagawa mo the company is facing loss and suffering from the actions you're doing on this department! Kailan ka ba matututo Zoe? I am so sick of your excuses when you're not taking this job serious!" Another scolding from dad, he kept slapping and throwing papers inside my office, I did another mistake, and it's my fault, the new applicants here are not different from the applicants I terminated last month. 

"I'm sorry-" 

"Stop it with your nonsense apologies! I don't need your apologies! I need you to improve your work and I am expecting you to make this department better in two months but in one month nothing happened! Zoe ano na? You're embarrassing us! Ineexpect ko na you're going to be doing good, but it's the other way around! Fix this bullshit Zoe or else I will be left with no choice but to terminate you and forget that you have a family." 

I am so sick and tired of this life, all I dreamed to do is to enjoy life, being a department manager is never in my dreams, I've just always dreamed on being free and do everything I want without obstacles in life but I belong to a family of rich business owners and there's no possible way to make my dreams come true.

I am keeping my tears, stress, temper and burned out in the whole day, after my shift I immediately rushes to my car and drove Max in full speed while having a meltdown, I lost all of my control in life, tears continues to fall down in my eye like a waterfall, I am screaming so loud to let go of the anger that is in me, I am just so tired of this life, I still don't understand why lowerclass people want my life, if it's possible I would love to exchange lives with them in exchange of my freedom and happiness.

My eyes started to blur out because of my tears, I barely see nothing but I still manage to see the way, I don't know what to do anymore because I cannot get my hands off of the stirring wheel to wipe my eyes, but suddenly a shadow of man appeared in my sight and I felt an electric shock to my body and pressed the break and stopped the car immediately.

I wiped my tears off to not make it obvious to the person that I'm crying, I got out of the car and saw the man lying in the ground, but I'm sure I didn't hit him because my car is inches away from this person, ni hindi ko naramdaman na binangga ko sya. I went close to the man and checked on him, I checked his pulse on the neck and it still beats.

He opened his eyes a little bit and he was shocked when he saw me, agad syang napatayo mula sa pagkakahiga nang makita ako, but I cannot see his face clearly.

"I-Ikaw? Ikaw yung sumagasa sakin no? Hoy panindigan mo ko!" Sigaw nya, his voice is reluctantly familiar to me, it seems like isa to sa mga applicants na nainterview ko for the past weeks, I tried to clear my eyes and when my eyesight is clear, I was freaking shocked!

"Ikaw? Yung Yael Mateo na hindi ko mainterview na maayos?" Tanong ko at nailang sya sakin bigla.

"I-Ikaw ba yung masungit na taga interview samin? Hoy bawal dito mag speed up ha! Makukulong ka!" Wika nya.

"Look, we cannot talk in the middle of the road, pumasok ka sa kotse ko kung ayaw mong masaktan!" Utos ko at agad din naman syang pumasok sa kotse ko, pagkapasok hinaplos nya and dashboard at mukhang amazed sya sa interior pero pinalo ko ang kamay nya.

"Don't touch anything! I don't want your filthy hands touch my baby!" Asik ko. 

"And by the way bakit ka tumatawid sa pedestrian lane? Baka gusto mo lang mang scam ng mga drivers dito at magpanggap na nasaktan para insurance scam mo ganun ba? Oh my god ganyan ka ba kahirap? Yung paraan mo pang kumita ng pera kailangan mo pang mamatay bwiset!"  Sigaw ko.

"Hoy hindi ah naninisi ka pa! H-hindi ko naman alam na pedestrian lane pala to! Baka naman hindi ka nag iingat at ang bilis bilis mong magdrive eh nasa pedestrian lane ka! Bawal yan dito sa Pilipinas papakulong talaga kita!"
