Chapter 10- New Assistant

"This is so embarrassing for me Zoe, huli nanaman sa listahan ang hr department, kapag binabanggit ng lahat ang salitang human resources all we hear is your name Zoe, and the failing department, I want you to make a solution for this problem and I am giving you another two months to save this department, don't embarrass me infront of the directors and don't embarrass me in front of everyone, just make sure you're going to do what I say." Sambit ni dad.

"Believe me or not I am doing my best, sabay sabay ang trabaho ko I supervise my employees, I define the clear objectives, I improved my leadership and I always engage with my team so we can perform better and I am improving the data management! Kahit papano I see the little changes I do for my team."

"Little changes is not good enough for the whole HR Zoe! I want this department to be the first in the list in no time, you're not just an irresponsible leader but you're a selfish leader, lalayasan mo nalang ang buong hr ng ganun ganun lang?" Tanong ni dad. "Dad incase that you forgot I am just 20 and you're pressuring me, don't make me carry the whole world in my back, when I just lived 20 years of my life, malay mo patay na ko bukas." Nakangiting sabi ko.

"Just shut up Zoe! Napapahiya na kami sa ginagawa mo mag iisang taon ka na dyan yung mga kapatid mo mabilis nakuha ang matataas na posisyon, kababae mong tao nauungusan ka ng mga kuya mo, just pull yourself out of the pits of hell." Asik ni dad and he walked out but couldn't care less and went back to my work. 

I checked my phone dahil mamayang 7 am, I scheduled a meeting at pagkatapos non papapuntahin ko na si Yael, I actually have to interview him first to know about his skills that need improvement pero hindi ko na sya kailangan patagalin pa dahil diretsong tanggap na si Yael to be my assistant, my assistants have their own office beside my office so I can monitor what they are doing, so I can see Yael also doing his work. 

Naghintay lang ako na mag 7 am dahil nag peprepare ang buong team dahil lahat kami dito mag bibigayan ng presentations to save the whole hr, pagpatak ng 7 am, lahat kami nagpunta ng meeting room to discus on how we can save the whole hr, ang sakit ng likod ko kasi parang dala dala ko ang buong department na to, hindi lang buong hr parang buong mundo, lahat ng employee ko nagbigay ng presentation and we all shared our thoughts and opinions, especially criticism sa isa't isa, tapos ends up ako ang problema ng lahat.

"Eh ma'am parang ang unfair naman po samin na pwedeng lalayas layasan nyo nalang ang responsibilidad ninyo bilang manager." Saad ng isa, they are all stating their problems at me.

"Tapos minsan kung magsalita kayo ma'am ang sakit at nakakainsulto, you're insulting us to the core whenever we make mistakes, out of control yung bunganga nyo mam minsan, masyadong matalim, sometimes you have to control your mouth, yes we understand that we are being paid to do our job, pero hindi kasama sa job description ang mainsulto muna bago makuha ang sweldo."

"Guys alam nyo naman na ang manager nyo ay mas bata sainyo and you need remember that, karamihan sainyo bandang 30 to 40 na and I am just 20, what do you expect? Bata palang ako pasan pasan ko na ang buong mundo, and I cannot properly digest the pressures of being the manager of this department lalong lalo na ito ang pinaka importanteng department sa lahat, I didn't suffer child labor pero to experience all of this at the age of 20? Diba nung nasa edad bente palang kayo nag aaral palang kayo sa kolehiyo? What about me I am just 20 carrying the whole department and I am begging you to understand my side, I am forced to take this responsibility at the very young age, buti nga kayo nung nasa edad bente palang kayo nag aaral palang kayo eh, ako nilaktawan ko na halos lahat ng year level to work at an early age."

"I just want you to understand that it is not easy for me to carry the whole department and you guys do nothing but to backstab me and criticizing my work whenever I make mistakes, and I think you forgot that your boss is younger than you, and that's all, get out of this room because the meeting is done, and by the way mrs. Helen I need you to help me today, ikaw muna ang assistant ko ngayon dahil mag iinterview muna ako ng applicants." Sambit ko at nag stay si Helen, saktong nag end ang meeting namin at 8:30 dahil 8:30 ang simula ng interviewing.
