Chapter 17- Enchanted Night

"Yael do you have plans on introducing me to your family?" Tanong ko, it's our 5th month monthsary and we are celebrating, ang bilis ng panahon.

"Oo naman no ipapakilala kita sakanila kapag okay na ang lahat, ikaw may plano ka bang ipakilala ako sa pamilya mo?" Tanong ni Yael, he already knows the answer, but yet hindi ko parin masagot yon.

"S-sa susunod nalang Yael, by the way saan mong gustong gumala? If you want may alam akong lugar at ako nang bahala sa gastusin." I know it's a redflag for a guy if he will not pay for the expenses but if you are an understanding person, you don't have to follow what the social media says.

"A-ano? Zoe alam mong ayokong ikaw ang magbayad ng gastos natin, hindi ako yung tipo ng lalaking iaasa ang lahat sa babae, I am gentleman you know that Zoe, it's just that I am not that fortunate just like others, kaya I'm sorry kung hindi ko kayang ibigay sayo ang nabibigay ng ibang lalake sa mga babae, di tulad ko na hanggang street foods at karinderya lang ang kayang ibigay sayo, hayaan mo, kapag nakaipon na ko ng sapat na pera dadalhin kita sa magandang restaurant." Sambit ni Yael at napa buntong hininga nalang ako, I wasn't asking for more dahil nabigay na nya sakin ang mga hinahanap ko sa isang lalaki, wala akong pakialam sa pera because I have that but the things he did for me is marked in my heart for eternity.

"Yael you don't have to worry about that, look it's already our 5th monthsary ang bilis na ng panahon diba? Yael the things you gave me is way more than enough, I am not materialistic, I just want pure intention okay? You already gave me that and I am not complaining." Sambit ko at hinalikan nya ko sa noo.

"Thank you Zoe, buti ka pa naiintindihan mo ang sitwasyon ng buhay ko, basta kapag ayos na ang lahat at wala ng problema, gagawin natin ang lahat ng gusto mo Zoe, gagalain natin ang buong Pilipinas bago ang ibang bansa." Sambit ni Yael and he smiled at me, his eyes tells me that he will make his promise come true.

Hinawakan ko ang kamay ni Yael habang naglalakad kami sa ilalim ng maliwanag na buwan sa baywalk, ang makinang na bituin ay sumasabay sa ganda ng pagmamahalan naming dalawa, it casted a soft, ethereal glow on the path before us, a gentle breeze carried it with the scent of ocean breeze, adding a touch to the magical light. 

"Yael, napakaganda ng buwan, it's perfect." 

"Totoo naman Zoe, siguro ang universe mismo ang gumawa ng magandang gabing to para sating dalawa." Sagot ni Yael, we were still walking while my heart is racing, for the whole five months has been a bit challenging for the both of us, totoo nga ang sinasabi ng iba na kapag dumating kayo sa 3rd monthsary your relationship will start to be challenging, pero we fought because we love each other so much.

"Yael may gusto akong sabihin sayo, something that has been filling my heart for so long."

"What is is Zoe?" Tanong ni Yael, I took a deep breath before speaking because my voice filled with emotion.

There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles

Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy

"Yael mahal kita, more than words cannot describe what I feel, hindi mo lang ninakaw ang puso ko, but you've also become the every beat of it, lumiwanag ang buhay ko nung dumating ka, and my life will be infinitely brighter with you in it." He gazed deep into my eyes.

"Zoe, you've opened up a world of love and happiness that I never knew existed, you mean so much to me Zoe, and I will always cherish every moment we spend together." My heart swelled with happiness, I felt to be the luckiest person in the world to have my Yael by my side, and I can't help but to steal glances at his radiant smile.

Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"

"Zoe, every day with you is a blessing. You've brought such joy, laughter, and warmth into my life."

"Hindi ko alam kung anong kalalagyan ng buhay ko kapag wala ka, you changed my life completely Yael, simula nang dumating ka I felt that I shifted realities from the world because my life felt easier these days with you, despite the challenges in our relationship, I will hold on tight with you, and I hope you will fight for me Yael, because you're my love, my confidant and my greatest adventure." Our fingers entwined even tighter, symbolizing the strength of our love as we continued to stare at each other's eyes, leaving footprints on the path of our shared journey. The night seemed to stretch on forever, but to me and Yael, it was never long enough.

As we share the unexplainable connection between us, our hearts beat in synch with the rhythm of our love story, the night around seemed to be harmonized with the melody of our shared emotions, I couldn't help but to feel butterflies in my stomach, like the chorus of enchanted by Taylor swift.

"Everyday with you is always a blessing Zoe, you've brought colors to my life, and I will always cherish our moments together." I am feeling overwhelmed with our love, as if singing the most powerful bridge.

And then, as we reached a quaint, moonlit clearing surrounded by wildflowers, time seemed to stand still. We turned to face each other, our eyes locked in an unspoken promise, like the moment before the most beautiful refrain.

Yael whispered his voice in a soft melody as he says my name, I was barely able to breath, my heart racing like the crescendo of a symphony.

"Yael..."

The lingering question kept me up

In that enchanting moment, with the universe as our audience and the stars as our witnesses, we leaned into each other, our lips meeting in a gentle yet, a profound kiss, it was a kiss that spoke of all the words left unsaid, of the promises of a love that transcended time and space.
