Chapter 21- First Dance

"Ngayon mo lang ba ulit makikita ulit si Nicholas?" Tanong ni Yael, we are inside the car on our way to the events place, may party kasi ang company ngayon and lahat lahat ng empleyado at ang mga importanteng tao ay dadalo, dahil iaannounce na nilang lahat ang partnership with another company that I don't care about.

"Oo, syempre nandun sya announcement ngayon ng partnership ng company sakanila, and he is the heir of that company kaya hindi pwedeng hindi sya mawawala don, so definitely pepestehin nanaman ako ng animal na yon hindi ba obvious?" Tanong ko at natawa nalang si Yael sa sinabi ko.

"You know I am not a possessive jealous boyfriend like you baby, pero I will always keep my eye on you especially when you're with Nicholas, basta kung naiirita ka na kay Nicholas just call me and I'm here to save you." Saad ni Yael at natawa nalang ako, he's right, malandi si Nicholas because he is already having an idea na may possibility to have arranged marriage with him, because dad told me na may possibility talaga na ikasal ako sakanya, but I have my own rules.

"Thanks baby, I just need you to be around dahil mas maganda kung kasama kita palagi because I do not feel safe around him, sinabi ko na sayo kung anong vibes ang nakukuha ko sakanya and that vibe is not my type." Saad ko, umabot ng halos isang oras ang byahe namin papunta sa events place, pinagbuksan ako ng pinto ni Yael and when I came out all I hear is the ear busting music and a lot of people inside, I have to prepare myself to socialize, the thing I hated the most.

"Let's go inside my princess." Wika ni Yael at napatawa nalang ako sa sinabi nya, he escorted me going inside the party and the moment I stepped in all I knew is they all eyes turned to look at me, the shining silver dress I wear makes my entrance glow like the sun and reflects in their eyes, but my eyes is only for Yael.

"Let's go, I have to greet my family first, just wait for me there Yael pupuntahan kita mamaya." Sambit ko at agad kong pinuntahan ang pamilya ko na nakikipag usap sa mga malalaking negosyante sa Pilipinas.

"Oh you're here Zoe, we've been waiting for you since, bakit ngayon ka lang dumating nagpasundo ka pa ba sa assistant mo?" Tanong ni David.

"No, it just took a bit of time to prepare for this big day, by the way where's mom and dad?" Tanong ko.

"Preparing in the backstage, it's good you arrived on time and binilinan ako nila mom and dad na magpakilala ka daw sa mga tao dito to know more about you." Walang ganang sagot ni David, his girlfriend is here also and yung mga asawa ng kapatid ko andito rin but has no appetite to say hi to all of them.

Since I don't want to see my brother's face agad akong nagpunta sa mga taong kakilala ko, whether I like it or not kailangan kong makipag socialize sa mga taong nandito, saying hi to each of them and greeting the biggest businessmen in the industry until someone tapped my shoulders and I looked at that person and it turns out to be Nicholas.

"Hi shawty, nice to see you again here and how are you? I tried to visit your company but I barely see you there, by the way ang ganda mo ngayon ha, your dress is very compliment worthy." Sambit ni Nicholas, this annoying guy is here to disturb me again.

"Well hello Nicholas." I replied with a polite smile and annoyance behind my smile.

"I've been very busy with work lately, you know how it is, and thank you for the compliment." I said.

Nicholas leaned in closer, his signature smug grin on full display. "Well, shawty, I can't help but appreciate beauty when I see it, especially in a place full of suits and ties. Speaking of which, would you care to dance later?"

I sighed inwardly, knowing that Nicholas was not going to give up easily. "Nicholas, we've been through this before. I'm here for business, not pleasure and fun."
