When Jimmy came over a couple days later, he told me what happened when he confronted Aubree, and how he'd forgotten to tell her the wedding was off. I think he felt bad about it, like I'd be mad or something that he forgot in their moment of anger, but I wasn't. We still had a little over a week left, and even though that's not really a lot of time, it's enough.

"I swear, I'll go to her sister's and tell her there, I don't care about the answers since I pretty much already know the truth. I'm not putting it off, I promise." He said frantically.

"Jimmy, calm down. You act like you've done something you don't want to be found guilty for." I laughed a little, and he relaxed, letting out a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, she just really stresses me out sometimes." He said. "But, at least I know she can't steal from me while she's with her sister." He smirked, and I gave him a confused look. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue credit card, and I realized what he meant.

"I bet she was pissed when she found that it was missing." I couldn't help the smile on my face.

"Oh, I'm sure she was. But it's her own fault." Jimmy shrugged as if to say, 'I don't give a fuck' and put the card back into his pocket. "Meanwhile, I decided to separate our accounts again. I removed my name, took the rest of what I have and opened a new account that she is not included in."

"Smart move." I said, and he nodded.

"She'll probably figure that out and come yell at me for that too, but y'know, I'm free to do what I want so really she can't do a thing about it." He frowned slightly as he stared down at his knees. I wrapped my arms around his middle and laid my head on his chest.

"I'm sorry that you have to go through this." I said softly, wishing that there was an easier way for him, so he wouldn't be so stressed out. I felt like it was sort of my fault that he was, but I wasn't going to tell him that.

"It's worth it. I'd rather do it now than after we were married. That would suck even more, and this way I get to be with you at the end of it all. If anything, I'm gaining, not losing." Jimmy kissed the top of my head. I looked up at him and smiled, and he leaned down and kissed my lips.

That one kiss turned into a makeout session that was escalating very quickly. At the moment our tongues were fighting for dominance, and I could tell he was getting ready to pull off my shirt by the way his hands slid up and down my stomach under the shirt.

He was just about to pull off my shirt when a voice sounded out from the front door, a voice that made my stomach churn. Jimmy and I pulled away quickly, looking at each other wide eyed as both of us recognized the voice. Aubree had come to pay a little visit.

I mouthed the word, 'hide', to him before I got myself out of his lap, which he had placed me in sometime during our makeout session. He darted up from the couch and around the corner, into the kitchen. Barely ten seconds after that did a very unhappy looking Aubree come into my living room, and I just barely regained my composure and grabbed a magazine that I pretended to have been looking through before she intruded.

"Jesus, don't you ever knock before you invade?" I asked in an unfriendly tone.

Aubree gave me a dirty look and demanded, "Where is he?"

"Excuse me?"

"I know you know where he is. Where's Jimmy?" Aubree rephrased.

"What makes you think I know where he is?" I shot back.

"He's here isn't he?"

"You're delusional." I muttered, flipping the page of the magazine I was pretending to look at.
