Jimmy's POV
When I woke up in the morning, I could hear the water running in the shower. I opened my eyes to the bright room to see the spot beside me empty, and I came out of my groggy state as I realized Elise was awake and currently in the shower. On the nightstand on her side, I saw my skull ring sitting there, and I smiled slightly to myself. I hoped that maybe one day that ring could turn into an engagement ring, but for right now I'm going to give it some time before I attempt to become a married man again.
I got myself up out of the bed and snuck into the bathroom. I stripped myself of my boxers which I'd slept in last night, and silently pulled the curtain back enough on the back end of the shower to slip in with her. I pulled the curtain back, and then took a small step up behind her, slipping my arms around her waist. I expected her to jump, but surprisingly she didn't, so I just moved on to kissing her neck.
Elise turned around, smirking at me as she put her arms around my neck and pressed her lips to mine. I was enjoying this until all of a sudden I felt her pull away from me and I felt kind of almost... lonely or empty.
"It's awful nice of you to join me, but you're a little late." She threw another smirk at me over her shoulder, and I realized what it was she was doing as she moved towards the curtain, starting to pull it back.
"Elise, no, don't do it! Stay and shower with meeeee!" I flapped my arms out at her helplessly.
She laughed a little at me. "But I'm all done, I don't need to shower any longer. You go ahead and shower, though." I watched as she stepped out of the shower, leaving me to finish my shower alone.
"Noooooo." I groaned, and I heard her laugh again.
"That's what you get for turning the water to freezing while I was showering!" She said.
"But that was weeks ago!" I protested.
"Oh well! I still hadn't gotten you back yet, so there you go. Have fun by yourself!" Elise left the bathroom, and I groaned again, knowing she could hear me in the bedroom. But she didn't come back, and she didn't respond to my pitiful groaning. I didn't know she was capable of really making my little prank come back to bite me in the ass like that. Well, damn. I guess I'll just shower alone then.
When I got out of the shower and got dressed, I went downstairs to find Elise, with an unhappy pout on my face. She was just finishing getting Bella her breakfast after filling her bowl with dog food and then putting the bag away. When she turned around, I worsened my pout and crossed my arms over my chest. She laughed and said,
"Aw, is somebody a little grumpy because they had to shower alone this morning?" She batted her eyelashes at me, sticking out her lips.
"Mhmm." I grunted, nodding. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, smiling a little. Then, softening my expression so that I was giving her the puppy dog eyes, I said, "Maybe if you come give me a hug and a kiss I'll feel less grumpy."
"Oh, that's real cute. Who taught you to make eyes like that, Bella?" She remarked as she started to walk towards me.
I laughed. "Yep, your dog's a great teacher for that."
"Well, for the record," She started, standing right in front of me and wrapping her arms around me. "I think she can be considered our dog now." Smiling down at her, I put my arms around her waist. "And maybe, I'll make it up to you for making you shower alone later. But if you want that kiss, now's your chance." Elise smirked.
"Well then I guess I better take it before it's too late." I said, and she nodded as I brought my head down, placing my lips on hers passionately. Then I said, "And my hug?"
