The entire room fell silent after those words were out of her mouth. It was so quiet, you could hear the footsteps of an ant. Matt looked slightly shocked, and I could see it quickly growing into anger. Grace looked like she was about to tear Aubree's face off, and Zacky looked as though he just shit himself. I didn't look up to see Jimmy's expression, but I knew that my own told how baffled I was.

"You didn't." Matt growled at Jimmy.

"I didn't!" Jimmy defended himself.

"Obviously you did." Aubree got  herself into the middle of things, like always. She just always had to have the attention on her, and I'm sick of it.

"That's a lie and you know it, Aubree!" Jimmy snapped at her.

"Oh please, Jimmy. Who else would be the father?" Her voice was flat, as if he were highly uneducated compared to her, like she was superior over him.

"Maybe that guy your sister suspects you were cheating on me with?" He suggested.

Aubree snorted. "As if. My sister is an ignorant bitch who doesn't know what she's talk about."

"She is not, don't talk about her like that. Brittany is a good person, with a good life to lead, unlike you. You just deceive people and lie to get what you want, so why should I believe you're really pregnant or that you weren't cheating on me? The kid wouldn't even be mine, we never had sex because you wanted to wait and I stopped you that one time you tried to seduce me a week before the wedding!" He said, his voice sounding factual. I was confused, Matt started to look relieved and less angry, Grace still looked like she wanted rip Aubree's face off, and Zacky just looked dumbfounded now.

She rolled her eyes. "Ugh, well I guess I shouldn't expect you to remember. You were drunk, after all." I felt Jimmy's arms tense around me, and I saw Matt's face fill with anger again.

"What?" Matt spat out the word like spoiled food.

"You took advantage of me!?" Jimmy yelled out, sounding slightly disbelieving.

"I didn't take advantage of you! We had fun, don't worry." She smirked again, and I felt suddenly extremely nauseous.

"You're lying! You have to be! There's no way you're pregnant by me. If you were, why wouldn't you have said something sooner? That was quite a while ago that it could've happened now." Jimmy himself sounded as sick as I felt. But he was right, she'd nearly be a month pregnant now, and she wasn't showing even the slightest bit. Something's not right, there's something largely false about this.

Aubree didn't answer him, instead she looked at me and said, "So, just how much do you trust him now? Looks like he doesn't really love you as much you thought, like I told you before."

"Elise, don't listen to her." He whispered into my ear before stepping in front of me. "Shut up, Aubree! Just shut up! Even if you are pregnant by me because you took advantage of me, I made a choice, and that choice was Elise. That means that I'm done with you, and you need to leave completely because I'm in love with her and that's never going to change no matter what you say or do! I don't think you're telling the truth, given the past experience with you. You're just looking for a way back in, but I'm telling you right now, you'll never get it. Ever." He moved forward, getting in her face, and she just stared up at him.

"So, I want you to tell me what night it was exactly that I was drunk, why you're choosing to tell me now after all these weeks, and give me at least two good reasons why I should believe you after the things you've said and done." Jimmy's voice was cold and firm as he stared daggers back into her eyes, waiting for a response.
