Jimmy was completely oblivious to the fact that I just drove in. I don't know how he didn't hear the car pull in or hear the door shut when I got out of the car, but he didn't. He looked pretty spaced out there, sitting with his arms resting on top of his knees while I squinted down at the ground, just staring at it. I was waiting for him to look up and see me as I slowly took steps toward him, but he didn't, so when I was a little ways away that he still couldn't see me, I spoke up.

"Jimmy?" As soon as I spoke his name, his head snapped up and I saw the recognition come over his face as he studied me. His eyes widened and a grin broke out over his face.

"Oh my God, it's true." He said to himself, and I just looked at him. "YOU'RE HOME!!!" He yelled as he jumped up and charged at me, picking me up and spinning me around. I couldn't help but laugh as he spun me around.

"It's been a year, woman!! 365 fuckin' days!!" He exclaimed when he put me down.

I laughed again and said, "Yes, Jimmy, I know how many days make up a year."

"I thought Matthew was a lying son of a bitch when he told me you'd come home, and then I got here to find that you weren't. But now you are and I can't believe it!! Snuggles has missed you!!" He told me, hugging me tightly. So it was my brother who told him I was here. Figures.

I hugged him back and said, "I've missed you too, Jimbo." It was now that I realized just how badly I missed him, while he had his arms around me.

When we let go of each other, he said, "Well c'mon! I didn't sit here, waiting for you for nothing! We're gonna hang out whether you want to or not."

I grinned and shook my head. "As you wish, Sir Snuggles."

He laughed as we started to go inside. "Sir Snuggles. I like that, it makes me sound royal."

We went inside and went to the kitchen, and I let Bella out to the bathroom again. I let her stay out for a while when she was done to entertain herself with her toys and be a little less pent up.

"So where have you been all day and for the past year?" Jimmy asked me when I tossed him a beer. I got out some grapes since I was hungry.

"Well, for the past year I was living in Lakewood. But today I was at Matt's to meet Kyle for the first time, and then I went to go see Zacky and Grace." I informed him, and he nodded.

"Your brother makes cute babies." I burst into laughter when he said that. "What!? He does!!"

"Yes, I'm aware of this now that I've seen him." I said.

"He looks like Matt too." Jimmy added, and I agreed. I happened to glance down at the hand that was holding his beer, and felt my heart drop when I saw the gold wedding band around his finger. His skull ring was on his other hand. I knew right then that it was true, he really was marrying some girl named Aubree. I decided to casually ask him about it.

"So I hear you're engaged." I ate a grape to keep a lump from forming.

Jimmy looked lost for a moment. "What?" Then he snapped out of it and said, "Oh, yeah! Been engaged for about two months now." He's been engaged for two months, and my brother couldn't bother to tell me when I met up with him last before moving back home?

"Congrats on that, by the way. So when's the big day?" I ate another grape after having to force a happy tone.

"Thanks, it's next month, the 26th." He answered. Today was the 9th, so the wedding would be exactly six weeks from now. Wonderful. "Hey, wanna do me a favor so I can be lazy and not have to get up?"

"What's the favor?"

"Throw me a grape so I can eat it. I'm kinda hungry, and watching you eat isn't helping." He said. I smirked and picked a grape off the vine before tossing it over to where he sat at the table, from where I was, sitting on top of the counter by the fridge. He leaned over a little to the right and caught it perfectly in his mouth.
