Bongbong

I was reading some comments from my last vlog – which it's about me in an interview with a small radio station regarding the rumors kung tatakbo na ba ako sa darating na Elections, which it will take place next year. And as always, halo-halo ang mga reactions dun: from the Loyalists, new supporters, neutrals, and of course; you name it.

"Dear, oh dear..." I released a chuckle habang binabasa ko yung mga comments.

That's when I was interrupted by the knocks on the door.

"Dad?" I recognized Sandro's voice from the other side of the door.

I placed my phone beside me at sinandalan ko yung ulo ko on the headboard, "Uh, come in, 'nak," sabi ko.

The door swung open, "Sorry for disturbing you po, paps," sambit neto sabay tumungo sa kama ko.

"Not really," panimula ko while releasing a soft chuckle, "di pa naman ako naantok. I'm actually reading comments whether tatakbo ba ako or what," dagdag ko sabay tawa.

"I see. I was surprised na meron din ang mga gusto na ma-witness what was like when YOU became president of this country," sabi ni Sandro, at napatingin ako sa kanya when he said the last part of his sentence.

Bigla ko na lang naalala yung mga naganap nung akala ko sumasang-ayon sa akin yung swerte... but nope, I was too complacent of the results without knowing what will happen next.

I dug deeper in these memories without realizing that I heard some fingers snapping...

..."Dad... DAD!" I was taken aback that tinawag pala ako ni Sandro.

"Oh! S-sorry, Sands," I said, feeling shy afterwards, "naalala ko lang yung nangyari... you know..." di ko na lang natapos yung sasabihin ko when I noticed that look on my son's face.

"I understand naman, pops," he opened his arms then hugged me sideways, "nandito pa rin kami, ha?" he chuckled then planted a soft kiss on my cheek.

Hayst. You may be the firstborn, but you're still the loving, sweet little boy in my eyes.

"Huy! What about us?" we we're surprised that Simon and Vinny are at the doorway.

"Come here nga!" I laughed, motioned my hand for them to join with us.

"Love you pops!" sabay nilang sambit as I can feel them hugging me.

They're my source of strength, indeed.

"I love you, boys," I uttered emotionally while patted their backs. "Kulang na lang si bunso dito," I added.

"Oo nga no," Sandro said, with a trace of longing in his voice. "It's been years," he sighed heavily, "missing her badly,"

"Same." Simon and Vincent said in unison.

"Last time she's with us... nung baby pa lang si Anna," sambit ni Simon that made my heart pricked by a sharp object.
