"See you again after two weeks, hmmm?" sabi ni Daddy habang mahigpit niya akong niyakap.
Babalik ngayon kasi sila dun sa Makati para makahabol sa mga gagawin niya. And syempre, para na rin sa akin na i-prepare ko yung mga dadalhin ko na gamit and bond with Dada Eddie hanggang sa lilipat na ako sa kanila.
I nodded. "Thank you po talaga, 'ddy."
He chuckled and kissed my head. "I should be the one thanking you, anak. For giving us a chance na maka-bonding tayo kahit dito lang sa bahay niyo."
"Hm-hmm." pag-hum ko sabay tango.
"Salamat sa pagpapa-unlak ninyo, Bong." Dada Eddie uttered while they're exchanging handshakes.
"No. Thank you po, kuyang." sabi naman ni Daddy as the two are now having a short father-to-father talk.
I then moved towards Mommy sabay yakap. "Take care, baby, ha? We're just a chat or call away when you need o want to talk, hmm?"
"I will, 'mmy." Mommy planted several kisses on my cheeks and cupping it. "Hays. Malaki na talaga ang baby ko! Wag muna mag-boyfriend, ha?" she pouted, cutely.
"Oh, you heard Mom." pagsingit ni kuya Simon. "And if you do, may pinerepare kami na questions."
"Huy! Job interview ba eto or Mr. Universe?!"
Natatawa na lang sila pagkasabi ko, I rolled my eyes and chuckled softly.
"Di pa. Wala pa sa checklist ko, jusko."
"Siguraduhin mo yan, ha?" sabi naman ni kuya Sandro.
"We've got our eyes on you, buch. Tandaan mo yan!" dagdag ni kuya Vincent.
"Come on, kuyas. I said 'wala pa sa checklist ko', don't you get it?" I squinted my eyes, all of us laughed softly, afterwards.
"Hay naku. Don't forget pala to open our present, ha?" pag-remind ni Mommy habanghawak niya ang mga kamay ko, I nodded eagerly.
Niyakap ko naman ang mga tatlo kong kuya. "Ingat kayo, ha?"
"See you soon!" sabi naman nila saka sumakay na sa sasakyan.
Sumunod naman sina Daddy at Mommy nang sumakay saka umaandar na ang engine ng kotse nila. It slowly moved away as me and Dada Eddie waved a goodbye and entered inside the house once again.
I went upstairs towards my bedroom where nandyan pa rin yung paperbag na galing kina Daddy at Mommy. Sinilip ko muna kung anong laman neto when I saw a small and big boxes na may nakadikit na note.
I took the boxes out of the bag, carefully— due to my shaky hands, of course. But what I see is more than just boxes. Syempre, I took the note first and read what was written that it made me smile and my stomach go mushy in a good way...
