The whole family are still there at the living room, eyes are currently glued to the T.V screen during the commercial break where pinanood nila ang mga pagbati galing sa mga kapatid sa INC — it be within the Philippines or from different parts of the globe.
Kahit may mga safety protocols na kailangan pa na susundin, they managed to record these whether it be inside the chapel or in their homes, as their way to thank their beloved church leader in guarding their faith in all odds, especially in the pandemic where everyone feels as if their hopes are draining, uncertain if everything will be okay in the next years to come.
"Anong oras na pala?" tanong ni Lynn na napatingin si Gemma sa wall clock.
"Its... 11:30 na po pala, mom," Gemma replied as she shifted her glance at Anna, who's sitting beside her, "Anna, punta ka muna dun sa office ni Dad at check mo kung tulog pa rin ba siya o gising na," pakiusap neto.
"Sure po," Anna immediately stood up from her seat and went upstairs as told.
Right when Anna was about to enter the room, the door made clicking sounds as it was about to swing it open — signaling that Ka. Eduardo is awake from his sleep. She immediately dashed back to the living room at sinabi niya na mag-ready na sa gagawing surprise.
They positioned themselves, with Anna and Angelo had their party poppers ready while hiding behind the stairs, Lynn holding the cake, Gemma and Dorothy carrying Albert and Chris, and the big kids with their cartolina with the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDYLO with heart doodles in oil pastels.
"Tanghaling tapat, ang tahimik 'rito. Anyare?" they heard Ka. Eduardo muttering in confusion as he's walking down to the living room.
Right when he's at the bottom of the steps and was about to take a turn...
*POP*
"Happy birthday!!" the whole family energetically greeted the head of the house in unison.
Ka. Eduardo flinched as he saw his family there, then his lips have curved into a sweetest smile and chuckled as they began to sing with his wife walking towards him.
"Happy birthday, dear!" Lynn smiled, with Ka. Eduardo made his wish and blows the candle.
"Lynn, thank you!" he took Lynn's hand and kissed the back of it that made Gemma, Dorothy, Angelo and Anna go kilig silently.
"Happy birthday po, daddylo!" his grandchildren ran into his arms and showered their grandpa with kisses.
"Salamat, mga apo ko," he replied, touched by the kiddos' sweet gesture.
"Happy happy~ birthday po~ Daddy E!" sumama is Anna sa yakapan and also giving him smooches and snuggles.
Ka. Eduardo giggled, "Salamat din sa'yo, Anna!" he pulled the lady closer for a forehead kiss and head rub as a thank you.
"Happy happy birthday, dad!" bati naman ng mga anak niya ng sabay as they also gave him a hug and smooches on their dad's plump cheeks.
"Anlalaki na mga babies namin," he uttered emotionally as he hugged his children back tightly.
"Love you, dad!" the three cheered. Anna found this scenario adorable, that she couldn't help but to take a picture with her phone.
"Daddylo, look po oh! Sa table!" sambit ni Andrea as she took his hand and made their way towards the coffee table.
