Two weeks later—

THIRD PERSON

It's the last week of the long summer break before the new school year starts, and everyone is making the most of their last days of vacation — kahit na halos ay nagstay-at-home due to the pandemic is still there.

Anna is currently in her bedroom, re-arranging her desk setup with new wall decorations, small clear cabinets were now dust-free, as well as pens, pencils are now arranged, and syempre – her laptop is also ready for next week's online classes. It's just her way to prepare herself and conditioning her mind to have a good start for the new school year. Especially since she's slowly transitioning to college through the Senior High curriculum.

"Yes! All done!" Anna mouthed softly while looking at her new desk arrangement proudly.

That's when she heard a knock on the door, "Ate! Ate!" Andrea's muffled, yet loud voice called Anna.

"Coming!" Anna replied as she hurriedly swung the door open, exposing Andrea with her hair tied, wearing her gingham blue apron over her white summer dress.

"Ginagawa mo po, ate?" Andrea asked.

"Eto, ni-arrange ko lang as paghahanda for the first day of classes." saad neto, then suddenly realized what she'll be doing today that made her chuckle lightly in embarrassment, "Ay– gagawa pala tayo ng banana bread ngayon," she smiled lightly, "well, you're just in time!" dagdag neto.

Both girls went downstairs to the kitchen where the boys are waiting for their ate while prepping the ingredients needed. Anna grabbed her apron with daisy prints and tied her hair into a bun while leaving some strands of hair as her bangs, and she's now good to go!

With the ingredients are on the kitchen counter, Ana prepped the tools, utensils and baking equipment needed.

"Okay! Let's check the ingredients before we start, shall we?" Anna asked.

"Opo!" the kids replied in chorus.

"Bananas?"

"Check!" Andrea chirped with her finger pointing to the bananas on the slab.

"Eggs?"

"Ready na po!" Erdie carefully showed the uncracked eggs on a small bowl.

"Flour?"

"Check!" Albert said, pointing at the bag of all-purpose flour.

"Baking soda?"

"Nandyan na din po ate!" Sevier replied with Ana noticed a small bag of baking soda was also placed on the counter.

"Sugar... butter... hmmm," Ana tapped her chin with her fingers, "ready na ready! Well..." she added hesitantly, "there is one left..."

"Ano po yun ate?" Chris asked, cutely.

She continued tapping her chin while trying to remember what ingredient is missing when they actually have the things they need.
