The car ride was silent.
"I'll see you on Monday, Kacchan... thanks for dropping me off." Izuku couldn't look at him in the eyes as he just shyly waved his hand and closed the door, not waiting for a response. The next thing he knew, he couldn't see straight. The world around him was spinning.
Katsuki couldn't just leave him like this. He immediately shut off the engine and went to grab the boy, to help him but he was shoved away.
"Just fucking let me get you inside, then I'll leave, we don't have to talk, alright?" He said in one breath, looking through Izuku's pockets for a key inside.
Shit.
They weren't there though. He looked around, trying to figure out a way to get inside the apartment complex.
He could jump over the fence of the main gate but no... that could raise suspicion. He sighed before ringing the bell that said 'Midoriya' with bold letters.
"Izuku, is that you?"
Izuku didn't answer, slipping in and out of consciousness as Katsuki held him tight.
"Hey, Auntie.. it's me, Katsuki. I was just dropping off Izu— Izuku-kun."
"Oh, Katsuki-kun..."
The lock on the door buzzed, signalling the metal gate was opened. Katsuki, noticing Izuku had passed out, grabbed him and Katsuki carried the boy in his arms. He's still so light... he might be able to handle quite a handful of alcohol but not when he's this... small.
Making his way to the elevator, he felt Izuku nuzzling against his neck, "Hmm, caramel..."
Katsuki blushed again, for the millionth time tonight.
Following the 'ding', he walked out and to where the light came from one of the doors. As he got closer, he could see Inko standing there, leaning to the wooden door with a trouble expression.
"My, you've grown so much since the last time I saw, Katsuki-kun." The words may have been for him, sure. But her heart was with Izuku still, as she spoke, her hand reached for Izuku's forehead, not looking at Katsuki after a single glance. "Thank you for bringing him home..."
"Come in, I'll make you some tea... you remember his room, right? Could you lay him down?"
The blond nods, taking off his shoes, he goes in. He heads to where Izuku's room is as the boy's mom goes for the kitchen to make tea.
Opening the door, the first thing Katsuki noticed was how messy Izuku's room was. Laying him down on hid bed, Katsuki brushed a hand through Izuku's messy curls, they don't feel as fluffy anymore.
He sits on the boy's bed looking around, unfazed. Just then, he sees something poking out from what he put out to be some sort of rug, white and blue, the letters 'UA' written over it.
Katsuki stands up, moving carefully not to wake Izuku, he turns on the lamp sitting cornered on his desk.
Pulling out the pins that held up this 'rug', he steps back. There was a huge board, tens of photographs and various papers, connected to one another, messy thin ropes in different colors.
He tried to make out what it was, a few familiar faces caught his eyes... some photos were so old, he doubted Izuku even knew them.
"I'm guessing you didn't know..."
He snapped out of it as Inko spoke. "Do you... do you mind if I take a picture of this?" He asks quietly, if even he didn't know about this... then probably no one else did so too. He fished his phone out of his pocket and flashed his camera over to the messy board, taking a picture.
"Don't tell him I let you... now come on, the tea is ready."

—KATSUKI
As we sat down, I was hit by a truck load of memories; Izuku and I running around, playing heroes, sitting on this very couch and watching hero movies, cartoons; listening to the gossiping from our moms and not understanding shit...
I sighed mentally as Auntie Inko sat across me after setting a cup of green tea on the table.
"Thank you for bringing him home again, Katsuki-kun... I just can't recognize him anymore. He hasn't been the same after Toshinori... And he won't tell me anything anymore." She took a sip from her tea then continued, "Sorry to bug you up with all this... I'm just worried."
"No, no... it's alright, Auntie. He doesn't talk to us either. Try not to worry though, he's getting there. He's trying." I tried to reassure her, the image of the board never leaving the back of my mind.
"So um, I don't know if this is the right time to ask but... can you tell me if you know anything about that board on Izuku's room?" I just can't let this go, dammit Izu, what are you hiding..?
Auntie sighed, looking down at the cup in her hand the spoke up, "I did look through it a couple times... said some stuff about these 'vestiges'."
I took put my phone and zoomed in on the picture while she kept on explaining as my eyes scanned through the image, in the very middle of that messy research said vestiges under eight pictures.
Shit, now I recognize them... the previous one for all users...
I got up and sat beside her on the other couch, showing her the picture she nodded. "Yeah... and some thing about 'being worthy', see," she pointed at Shimura Nana, more specifically where the purple rope it was connected to, "That's Shigaraki, the villan he... he fought during the war."
She can't say it.
None of us can...
Because Izuku had to kill Shigaraki in order to stop him.
A big, red 'X' had ruined Shigaraki's photo on the board. "Yeah, I-I know... but... is there something else? Look there,"
'Kill Shigaraki.'
"I... I thing this has something to do with how he's been real down these past months." I suggest, leaning back and running a hand through my hair, worthy, unworthy... wait—
"Has he ever mentioned seeing Yagi-san, after his death?"
"He said he had a dream where he saw him the night after he was discharged from the hospital, but that was also when I woke up to glass shattering and a scream. I didn't know what was going on and he practically begged me not to tell anyone about what happened..."
So, whatever he saw in this dream triggered something... shit, why didn't he tell us?
"My God, I sure do hope he won't get even more worked up then he was with me once he learns I told you all this..."
I can tell she's worried, come to think of it, he has never mentioned seeing the previous users after the war.
"Katsuki-kun," I look down, she made me snap out of it, making eye contact with her as she puts her hand on mine, "Be there for him, please... I don't know who else can other than you. I know you care about him, and see the way you look at him,"
I blush and turn away, oh come on!
"Take care of him, I'm not just asking you as a family friend but as a mother, I trust you... he trusts you."
"Don't worry, Auntie, I'll make sure he pulls through this and gets back to his own self. That's a promise."
