KATSUKI--
After grabbing my phone and wallet from my room, I headed straight to Aizawa Sensei's dorm downstairs, making sure Izuku didn't see me, I got inside.
"You wanted to talk, I'm all ears, kid." Sensei said as he sat down on his couch, just as I was about to begin, his cat snuggled to my leg. "It's gotten bigger..." I mumble as I reach to pet it's head.
"Yeah," He cracks a smile, "Anyway, I looked at the photograph you sent me, I have to say it's done quite well but I suppose it's no surprise since Izuku was the one who put it together."
"Were you able to make any sense of it, Sensei?" I ask as I flip my phone out to look at it again, "This shit looks like something only one for all users could understand... I know I was the one who learned all this along with Izu but..."
Sighing, I zoom in on the picture again, looking thorough every detail I can read by, some I can understand, some are just, fuck what has he gotten himself into?
"He used to talk to the previous users, correct?" I nod silently as he continues, "One thing, and this is the only thing I know for certain, whatever he was trying to do, this work isn't complete."
My eyes widen, this shit isn't completed? Just what else is fucking there to add? "I've seen his research boards before, he never leaves them like that, there's always some marking that indicates the work is complete but this one doesn't have it."
"His mom said he hadn't seen Toshinori Sensei since he... that means he hasn't seen the vestiges as well, right?" Thinking out loud, I look at the side where All Might is written in bold letters, after what Aizawa Sensei said, I notice theres a date beneath some other numbers.
"Do you remember the exact day he- he passed?"
Aizawa Sensei's cat moves forward and leaves my side and jumps onto his lap resulting in him almost dropping his glasses. I laugh as he gives me a glare, its never not fucking fun when he does that, ha!
"Ahem." he clears his throat "If you're done laughing. It was on wednesday, November 5th. Now that I think about it... it's been over a year..."
I look down, barely remembering the details from how spaced out I had been that day. I can't imagine what Izuku was feeling... I do remember seeing him after the funeral.
.
.
.
Rain had been pouring heavily for an entire week, the country was taken in pieces, streets had been empty, stores barely open for twelve hours. It felt like a spell had been casted country wide.
The funeral was quiet, the one person expected not be able to give a speech had spoken. Izuku Midoriya.
The remaining UA staff, close friends from the police force All Might had and of course the hero course students stood under the crying sky. A few bothered to have umbrellas while the students endured it, the cold breeze with soaked clothes made them freeze but what was a little cold compared to this?
Izuku had been called upon to speak after Tsukauchi, he didn't hesitate after the talk he had with his homeroom teacher, as he got up front, he avoided looking people in the eyes, he couldn't disrespect them like that.
'I shouldn't even be allowed to attend his funeral after failing him.'
"I'd like to start by saying I appreciate everyone for being here today." He starts clenching his fist, that's what Aizawa had told him to start with, he didn't know what else to say even though he thought it was stupid.
