That night, Izuku slept over at Katsuki's dorm, crying himself to sleep, cuddled up in Katsuki's arms. Meanwhile, the blond didn't get a single glace of a dream. After Izuku passed out, Katsuki texted both Inko and Aizawa.

To Inko, he said Izuku was fine and in UA. And to Aizawa, he asked if they could meet up the next day. Not surprisingly, the response was fast, a simple text that gave him the time.

He sighed, stroking his hand through the smaller boy's curles, careful not to wake him up.

That night, his search history was filled with numerous ways to help understand what Izuku was going through. The more he read, the more concern ate him up. The thought of Izuku being suicidal and the image of him dead in so many ways with various outcomes...

One thing that did however concerned him the most was the fact that none of this had to do with what happened during and after the war they'd faced.

The recklessness, the self-sacrificing behavior, the way he always put others' needs before his... he couldn't help but wonder if he had anything to do with all this mess...

When the clock hit 6am, he slowly got up, fixing the covers over Izuku's fragile body he made his way downstairs to the common area.

"Morning, Katsuki." He didn't need to look up from the coffee mug to know who it was.

"Mornin', Shoto bastard." He greeted back, "What're you doin up so early?"

"Couldn't sleep I guess, I was gonna go for a run but I feel too tired." Shoto replied, grabbed a cup for himself, "Also,"

Katsuki jerked his head up, sipping his coffee, "Is Izuku alright? I saw you two coming in last night, did something happen?"

Shit.

"No, he's fucking fine—"

Shoto and everyone else in class knew how the two kept secrets, ones that they never shared with them, ones that only them and All Might knew of, Shoto however, knew stuff about Izuku that Katsuki didnt know, at least till now. "If it's about the drinking problem he has, you don't have to keep it from me. I already know of it."

Katsuki's brows snuggled together, why does this bastard know anything about him before I knew..?

"Look, Katsuki," Shoto sat down, signalling the other over to the tables as well as he spoke, he waited patiently for the blond to take a seat.

Once Katsuki did so, he continued. "Izuku isn't the most open person. We're both aware of the fact, while people think he's an open book... he's far from it, I was the first person to get him out of the house, the first person whom he asked to have a drink with... I know you don't like any of this given how... close you two are—"

Shoto looked up to see Katsuki's concerned yet bright cherry face, this only confirmed his - now not so conspiracy- theories.

"Yeah, yeah get to the damn point, hotstuff."

"What I'm trying to say is... don't make him regret tell you. He's had his worries about opening up, especially to you. Don't treat him any differently than before you've learned about... everything."

Katsuki stared at his coffee, his reflection of a blank face staring right back. He closed his eyes and sighed, throwing his head back. Is that what he really thought... that I'd treat him differently? It that what how I've been acting since he told me?

"You're closer to him than I'd ever be, given you two grew about together. He's been shutting me off since he ended up in Recovery Girl's office a few weeks back." Shoto explained, not looking at the boy in front of him in the eyes.
