chapter thirty two: run away with me

James and Iris hadn't moved from their spot on the couch once. Once the show was over, he ditched hanging out with the band to spend time with Iris.
When he came home, Iris was sitting in front of the TV, trying to take her mind off things. Even though she tried to act like she wasn't crying, the tear marks that were on her face said otherwise.
They didn't need to say much to each other. James came over and joined Iris on the couch, holding her close. She always felt safe in his arms, like he could protect her from her worst fears. It was an emotional night.
While they were sitting on the couch, Iris leaned in and pressed her lips against James, trying to savor the last time she was going to be able to kiss him.
It quickly turned into a makeout session, and Iris could feel the growing desire in his pants. She deepened the kiss, wanting things to go further.
"Iris," He breathed in between kisses, not wanting to pull away just yet. "Do you really want to?" He asked, making sure he wasn't crossing any boundaries.
"Yes," She replied, looking him in the eye. "I trust you." She never thought she would have said that to someone, especially for something like this.
James took her word for it and lifted her from the couch bridal style. He reattached his lips to hers, continuing to kiss her. Iris giggled as he struggled to find her bedroom without bumping into anything.
He laid her down on the bed gently, his hands resting on her waist as he moved over her. He was gentle with his movements, his lips moving to her neck, causing shivers to run down her spine.
His hands were roaming her body, resting on her thighs. Every kiss and every touch was a testament to everything they had been through together emotionally.
He whispered sweet nothings against her skin, his praise causing butterflies to form in her stomach. She felt so nervous yet so ready to be with James. She would've never imagined this happening.
Once they were out of their clothes, James hovered over her. "Tell me if you want to stop, okay?" James told her as he positioned his forearms on both sides of her head. She nodded in response and anticipated his touch.
Giving her one last kiss, James pushed himself into her warmth, the both of them gasping in unison as they became one. Iris rested her hands on his shoulders, biting her bottom lip.
James kept his movements slow and gentle, wanting to take care of her and enjoy this moment. Contented sighs and soft moans slipped from their lips as they held each other close. It felt perfect.
It was taking everything in him not to go faster, but he wanted to be with her forever like this. There was no rush, and he had been wanting to show Iris how much he truly loved her for her.
She dug her nails into his shoulders, gasps and soft moans escaping her lips with every thrust. Her cheeks became pink and warm, self-conscious of the sounds and faces she was making.
James rested his forehead against hers, kissing her lips once more. "You're so pretty like this." He whispered, wanting to put her at ease. He looked at her lovingly, wanting to make sure she felt good.
He buried his face in the nape of her neck, his blonde hair tickling the side of her face as he panted and groaned. The heat of his body radiated against hers, hearts beating in unison.
The pleasure in her stomach began to build as he increased the pace. "James," She whined breathlessly, whispered expletives rolling off her tongue as she felt the pleasure building.
"I'm right here Iris," James replied. The passion brewing between them was overwhelming. The only sounds in the room were their soft moans and whispered sweet nothings.
Iris didn't want him to stop, she felt like she was on cloud nine. Her body was on fire, and the taste of James's lips was intoxicating. If it wasn't obvious they were made for each other before, it was obvious right now.
It was everything they could've wanted and more. James continued to be slow and passionate with his movements, pouring out all the love he had for her. Iris trusted him, allowing herself to get carried away.
Iris grew closer to her climax, closing her eyes from the pleasure. "James, please," She whimpered. "I'm gonna..."
"I've got you, baby," James whispered breathlessly against her skin again. He lifted his head to look at her again, coming closer to his climax. "Let go, I've got you."
She chanted his name like a prayer as she came, burying her face in his shoulder as she cried out. James couldn't hold on for much longer, letting out a deep groan as he finished.
James panted as he laid his body on top of Iris, leaving small kisses on her shoulder and collarbone. "I love you." He said breathlessly, coming down from his high.
"I love you too, James," Iris replied, her voice filled with emotion. She couldn't help but become overwhelmed, coming back to the realization that she was never going to have him like this again.
James heard her sniffles and lifted his head from the crook of her neck. "Iris, what's wrong?" He asked.
The tears spilled onto her cheeks as she looked at him. "I don't want you to go." She said, her eyes mixed with love and sadness.
He sighed. "I know Iris," He sniffed as tears began to fall from his eyes too. "But I promise it's just for a little bit." He rested his forehead against hers.
They both began to cry, brought on by the intimate moment they had and the knowledge that this was going to be the last night they were going to have for a while.
"I wish I could go with you." She whispered, her voice slightly wavering from her emotional state. James held her tightly, refusing to let go.
James sniffed and wiped her tears. "It's only going to be for a little while," He replied. "I promise I'll be back before you know it." He kissed her forehead.
He pulled the sheets over the both of them and held her close for the rest of the night, savoring his last moments with her before he had to leave in the morning.
