The woman stood calmly in the kitchen, grinding a flower in a mortar bowl using a rounded club pestle. She pounded the flower until it was nothing but a blue pulp before grinding it slowly against the edges of the bowl, the sound of stone filling the room.

She hummed softly as she kept grinding the blue flower, making sure it was a nice powdery substance before scraping it into a cup fit for a toddler.

Milk was heating up in a kettle over a small fire while the lady was grinding down the flower. When she finished scraping the powder into the cup, she took the kettle off the fire and poured the milk into the cup until it was half full.

She then took a spoon and gently stirred the milk in the cup, all while humming a soft melody. As she stirred, the milk in the cup slowly started turning a soft shade of blue.

The lady chuckled to herself as she watched the milk turn blue. "What an odd flower."

She stopped stirring and placed the cup of hot liquid on a plate with a small cold towel. She placed the plate on a small tray before taking it with her out of the room.

Her husband was sitting on a traditional zaisu on a tatami mat. A toddler with (s/c) skin and a slightly red nose was in his bulky arms, a towel was placed on their head which was a clear indication that the baby was sick.

The woman came into the room and placed the tray of items on a low stool before kneeling in front of her husband and child. She looked at her baby with worry. "Are they getting any better?"

The man looked up, his (e/c) pupils filled with nothing but concern. "I'm afraid not, my dear." He said lowly before glancing out a small window. "They've been like this for over an hour, they won't get any sleep at this rate."

The woman grimly nodded before taking the damp towel off her baby's forehead. She replaced that one with the colder towel and watched as [Name] seemed to relax a bit.

"I'm worried about them too." She muttered before picking up the warm cup of blue milk. "I just hope this'll help."

The (h/c) haired man glanced at the cup before looking back at his wife with uncertainty. "Are you sure it'll work? How do we know it won't make their sickness worse?"

[M/n] swirled the cup nervously in her hand. "It worked on Kie's daughter, Nezuko." She slowly lowered the cup to her toddlers lips. "It's worth a shot, right?"

[F/n] sighed deeply before raising [Name]'s head to a comfortable position. They both watched as the blue liquid travelled into their baby's mouth.
