Chapter 28

Penda POV

The Winx are back in Gardenia, with several successful missions in our belt, including Earth's belief in fairies and our music career rising. At the fruity music bar, I sip the smoothy happily. Seeing Nabu and Layla smile and giggle, I can't help but feel warm at the sight.

Leaning against Noa's shoulder, he laces his fingers with mine. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah..."

His grip tightens a bit, but today isn't about me. Today is the day of the Royal Family of the Oceans' coronation. Being able to watch it live, seeing Layla's extended family, Queen, King, and the children of the ocean. One of the princes will be chosen to lead.

Watching the ceremony, she shows us King Neptune's throne room. Watching the crowning, everything seems fine until the king is attacked. Panic fills the room and the live feed ends. Then the ground shakes, and seeing the smoke in the distance, the oil begins to spill into the ocean along with the rig setting on fire.

Transforming, Bloom controls the flames, while I help the workers, taking them to the specialist to send them to safety. Layla deals with the oil leaking underwater, controlling the situation, returning to the surface with the sinking man, she makes it to the top.

Nabu heals the men, allowing us to transform the oil plant and clean the surrounding waters.

But the risk of the oil washing up is still present. The next day comes, performing as a benefit concert for Gardiena's beaches we get more information about what happened after.

Tritannus was the one to attack the royal family, not wanting his brother to take the throne. Nabu and I comfort Layla, "Don't worry, everything is going to be okay."

Stepping outside to clean the beach, I hold the thick bags of trash. Seeing a dark goo coming to the shore, they turn into aquatic monsters spreading terror and mayhem.

Transforming, we attack, pushing them to return to the sea. Before Bloom could follow them, the Trix appeared. Flora, Layla and I dive trying to follow but our wings are too slow, unable to go any faster.

Attacking the beast doesn't affect it much underwater, cursing us, he knocks Layla down. Realizing it's Tritannus, he sends off a shock wave. Layla tries to reason with him then he slips away through an underwater gate.

Swimming to the surface, Layla feels defeated, but our next destination is Alfea to grow in power.

Seeing Roxy I smile at her brightly, the boys arrive, minus Sky as per usual. Layla rushes to Nabu, while Noa pulls me away from the girls.

Missing Sky's grand entrance, Noa strokes my cheek, feeling safe in his arms I can't help but appreciate his kindness. Returning to the girls, we speak to Fargonda alone. The key is Daphne, Bloom's sister since she was the last fairy to achieve Sirenix. Layla gets a call from her mother, sharing Neptune's rage and how it's affected the oceans.

Comforting Layla, I hold her hand, "We'll defeat Tritannus."

The Sirenix book is somewhere in the magic archive. With the specialist's help to make sure we're not disturbed, we make it there. We start the search, but before we can even start the Trix comes to stop us.

Helia is attacked and taken outside with Flora and the Princess of her home.

Transforming, our attacks are rendered useless, they're more powerful than before. Once Faragonda and Grizelda step in they flee. Bloom checks up on Sky only for him to have no memory.

Bloom is saddened by Sky's lost memory, but we push forward. Luckily, I gave her advice, making her calm down, and giving her hope. Leaving, us behind, I return to my room alone.

Holding myself, I walk over to my dresser. Unlock the box filled with healing spells, potions, and herbs. All things I've tried to use to regain what I've lost. Every day I feel incomplete and broken, and every day I have to act like I'm ok.

Noa...he knows, how I feel, I don't even have to tell him. Tenca calls us, having found a way to search for the Book of Sirenix.

The book is a bit, odd, Tecna opens it. It speaks, transforming Tecna into a robot. Surrounding her we try to get the book away from her. But getting it away from her isn't enough.

Transforming, we join hands, trying to break the spell on the book only for nothing to happen. Layla points out her phone, flying to her, she searches relentlessly for the book for Sirenix.

Stronger and faster than before, it's hard to keep up with Tecna. Sneaking up on her isn't successful as she tries to blast Stella. Opening book after book with spells casting as they open, we get bombarded by a thick blizzard.

When Layla closes one book, Tecna opens another. A whirlpool is formed, and Layla and Musa help me up. And with Tecna down and her phone detached, she's free from the spell that turned her into a Robot.

Tecna tries to use her phone again and she successfully finds the book.

A new day comes, training at the school Flora conducts the training, completing it and failing. Summoned by Faragonda, she warns us of the Lelo, and how it will blossom for the first time in centuries.

The Lelo plant is a balancing factor that can be affected depending on who finds it. With the job of finding it and planting it, we return to Gardina. Flora senses it, and following her lead, we head to Vanessa's flower shop.

Telling us of the community garden, Flora senses the Lelo once more. Running through the streets of Gardenia, we make it to the mall. Coming face to face with Mitsy and a little girl holding the Lelo.

Then we get blasted back by the Trix. Transforming, we catch up with the Trix. Hearing an engine roar, Missy picks up the girl and drives off. Attacking them, Flora follows Icy.

Stormy and Darcy flee, leading us to follow her. Backing Flora up, the little girl tosses the flower.

Flora catches her, while we rush to get the plant. As it falls, breaking out of its pot, the sunsets, blossoming, the Trix tries to absorb its abilities. Bloom knocks them down only for it to be too late. 

Standing against them, the people's belief in us makes us powerful enough to blast them away.

As the Lelo blooms, magic spreads out through the air.
