I was watching the stars. The soft grass was pushing me in my back. The night had fallen over Mithia and I hadn't stargazed since my mother passed away. In the corner of my eye I saw Faith laying down next to me on the grass. She sighed deeply.
"Aren't stars amazing?" She said.
"Yes they are." I replied. I looked up at the millions and millions of stars.
"Hey, look!" I said, pointing to one of the many constellations. This one looked like a hunter.
"It's Orion the Hunter." I added. Faith looked to where I was pointing.
"Whoa I never knew you knew the stars." She said. I let out a soft giggle.
"My mother taught me. I was always very intrigued with stars and the solar system. Just like her. I haven't watched the stars since she died." I said. Faith sighed again. We laid like this for a few hours gazing at the stars and sometimes at each other. Until we heard a rustling sound. I shot up and looked into the darkness. After our encounter with the Imps, I was not in the mood for anything evil again. I grabbed my spear, but Faith was faster. She was already at the forestline.
"Faith! What are you doing!? Be careful!" I whisper-yelled. Faith ignored me. She pushed away the leaves. Then, she gasped.
"Aww what a cutie!" She exclaimed. Confused, I stood up. I walked towards her. In front of her was sitting a little brown and white creature with a green cloak around his little body, a bow on his back and a telescope in a cloak pocket. He looked at me with big, green eyes and I just melted.
"Aww! Hello there little guy!" I said. The little creature smiled.
"Mogwai!" He exclaimed. He had a high pitched, baby like voice. Faith and I looked at each other. The little one started waddling in tiny circles in his place. Faith and I squealed.
"You're so adorable! What's your name?" Faith asked. Little one stopped waddling and looked at her. He tilted his head.
"Mogwai!" He said again. He started waddling again, while he kept saying 'mogwai'. I tapped Faith on the shoulder.
"I think all he can say is mogwai." I said. She nodded and turned back to our little guy, who I assumed was a mogwai.
"Okay little guy, is it okay if I ask you some questions? Nod if you understand." Faith said as if she was talking to a baby. The mogwai stopped and looked at her again. For a while he did nothing. But then he nodded.
"Okay, good. So nod for yes, shake for no, okay?" Faith continued and the mogwai nodded again. He was so adorable.
"Okay little one. Are you a mogwai?" Faith asked. The mogwai nodded.
"Do you have a name?" Mogwai shook his head.
"Do you want a name?" Mogwai excitedly nodded. Faith happily turned to me.
"He wants a name! Oh my God what should we call him?" She said.
"Ask if he likes Bob." I said. She asked and he shook his head.
"Tim." Nope.
"Owen?" Also a no.
"Ben?" Not this one either.
"Kyle?" Nope again.
"Mo?" I said after countless other names. Faith asked him and he excitedly clapped his hands and nodded. Faith smiled.
"Welcome to the gang, Mo."
