I woke up in a dark place. The only light came from behind me and a small fire in front of me. I grunted as I tried to sit up. Faith immediately came to me and pushed me back down.
"Keep down. Sitting up isn't good for your injuries." She said in a concerned and caring tone. I smiled and laid back down on the floor.
"Thanks." I said, sweetley smiling. She smiled back and walked back to Torin, informing him I was awake. He turned around and smiled at me. There was an emotion behind his smile that I couldn't quite recognize. It wasn't a bad emotion, more a weird one. I was confused but quickly smiled back. I laid my head back on the leave-pillow and looked at the boring, dull ceiling of what I expected to be a cave. Eventually, I got bored of just laying there. As Faith would push me back down if I tried to sit up again, I turned my head towards them.
"Hey, you guys." I whispered. The two looked at me. Faith looked somewhat annoyed. I immediately regretted my decision. Have I done something wrong?
"What's up, Ruby?" Torin asked. I scraped my throat.
"I'm bored." I replied. Torin and, to my relief, Faith both chuckled.
"You really can't do nothing for a while, can you?" Faith said. I giggled.
"Yeah well, that's logical. Who can focus when you're around?" I said, hoping she would get the hint I was sending her. She didn't.
"Awwh, you're the sweetest best friend ever!" She said. I weakly smiled and turned my head back. Suddenly, I saw Bo and Mo. They noticed I was awake.
"Wuby!" Bo exclaimed. He clapped into his hands and waddled towards me. Mo happily followed him. They walked towards me and sat on my stomach.
"Mogwai!" Mo said. I giggled.
"Hello guys!" I said. The two giggled and laid down on my belly. I smiled and turned my head back towards my friends.
"I'm still bored, you know. I just can't move now." I said. Torin laughed.
"What do you even want to do? You're still healing." He said.
"Well, that doesn't really matter. We can just play a game or something. Just anything. I'm bored and I get annoying when I'm bored, ask Faith!" I said.
"It's true." Faith said, roasting something. Torin sighed and it looked like he was thinking.
"Eye spy with my little eye?" He said. I laughed.
"I'm not a little kid. Next." I said
"I don't know any other games that we can play while you're in the state you're in now." I laughed.
"How about we just get to know each other? We barely know you." Faith said.
"Sounds good to me! Ruby?" Torin said.
"Sure, why the heck not?" I said. Faith excitedly clapped her hands.
"Okay, I'll start with a question." Torin said. Faith and I both nodded.
"Hmm... Okay, Ruby, how would you describe your first crush?"
