My airways got blocked and I couldn't breathe. I was gasping for air as I called out.
"H-help!" I said with the little air I had left. I heard footsteps coming closer very quickly. I turned my head forward. I didn't see anything or anyone. The invisible, ice cold hand wrapped itself tighter around my throat.
"Ruby!" I heard Torin and Faith exclaim. I gasped for air again but none came in. My lungs were running out of air. My eyes started feeling heavy.
"Quick, find anything we can light on fire!" Torin said. Footsteps running away. I couldn't keep my eyes open and my vision went black.
"Faith! Quick, we're losing her!" This was the last thing I heard. I fell down and got freed from the icy grasp. I hit the ground and passed out.

I gasped for air and coughed like crazy. The bright light burned my eyes and it took a while before I got used to it. I looked to my left and saw Faith's concerned face looking at me. Then I realised she was holding some sort of warm cloth against my face. I turned to my right and saw Torin, smiling at me. A piece of his jacket was missing. I made the conclusion that the cloth on my head was that missing piece. My hand stroked my still sore throat. Breathing still hurted. I sighed.
"Are you okay?" Faith eventually asked. I nodded.
"Yes... I think." I replied with a raspy voice. I scraped my throat. Damn that hurts. I reached into my pocket to see if my phone was still there to see what time it was. I found it, but there was something else in there as well. Curious, I took out the little paper.
"What's this?"I asked. Torin shrugged and Faith looked just as confused as I did. I unrolled the scroll and read what it said out loud.

Rocks and fire surrounded by blood,
Your feet sink into the mud.
Darkening clouds fill the sky,
But the grounds stay forever dry.
There where monsters roam the grounds,
Is where the next hint sounds.

I looked at the others. Faith gulped as Torin scratched the back of his head.
"That sounds... dangerous." I said.
"It sure does...." Faith replied. Torin sighed.
"I might know what place Graves' talking' 'bout..." Torin said. Faith and I turned to him.
"What place, Torin?" I asked. I didn't mean to sound as bitterly as I sounded.
"The land of ogres." He said. My eyes widened.
"Isn't that like a myth?" Faith asked.
"We all think that, but it's very real. I've been there. And that specific spot, a swamp in that land, I have been there as well." He said. I abruptly stood up.
"Guess we're stuck with you for a little while longer."
