At night, time always seems to be incredibly slow. In comparison, daytime is too short for most, thus people remain awake in order to finish things they need to do. May it be homework, a needed talk or certain plans.

"I suppose this can be considered foolproof from now on.", Mava claims while she crams together a few papers, first wanting to leave Xemnas' room.

Resting in his bed as always, he replies: "Glad I could make myself useful."
"You're being too hard on yourself.", she stops, clenching her free fist together: "I hope you'll realize that having a disability is not an obstacle."
"It is.", he turns away.
Mava sighs, thinking about how she dares to play therapist now and fights for his attention again by snipping: "Actually, you're quite lucky to have lost something that is able to be replaced."

"Do you desperately feel the need to make me suffer for being part of your city's acquisition?". He doesn't emote.
"I already did that.", she blandly responds and moves the pile of papers she has under her arm. "It's just, you shouldn't be hiding in your room and do nothing forever. I still need to beat you up. I can't do that when you're not in shape."

He suddenly exhales: "Oh? Why hold back now?"
"I don't kick men when they're down. And Maleficent comes first. She took one of my hunters. I don't tolerate such loss without payback."
"I understand. Perhaps I am just tired. I will reconsider your challenge."

Leaving the room, Mava's feelings overwhelm her. Suddenly she feels glad that Xemnas actually assisted to develop her plan. The others have told her, Xehanort and his versions shouldn't be trusted, however she now feels different about them. They're not bad people. Or at least, not anymore. Changing behaviors, abandoning ideologies and truly change their way. This is what true strength is.

"Lyria, Byrill. I'll be back soon.", she whispers before passing Viola's room. It's 2am. Peeking into her friend's room, she looks at the bed that is meant for Yonah, then to the peacefully sleeping Viola. Coming closer, she pets over her friend's head: "Maoishi. Sleep tight, Vi."

Mava remains beside the bed, staring out of the window, since it's snowing. Snow in April isn't common here, apparently. Noticing that Viola wakes up, Mava quickly stands up, attempting to leave: "I wanted to check if you have a fever or anything, don't mind me."
However Viola tilts her head. It's almost as if she's trying to read Mava's mind.

"Did you think I wouldn't recognize your worrying face?"
Mava smiles and fixes a few strands of Viola's hair: "This can wait till morning."
"Beterus. What's on your mind?", Viola asks in a whisper tone as she sits upright.
"Glad you're ok. I know how to save Dundorma from Maleficent. It's a very detailed plan."
"Detailed because of my father?"

"Yes.", Mava answers: "We almost lost you too and I don't want any of this to repeat. I finally want to see Byrill and Lyria again."
Viola's eyes widen, supposedly out of dissatisfaction: "Lyria? Seriously?"
"Hey, Vi? I wasn't sure if I should tell you. I... married her."

Her friend's face becomes pale. The blonde fights not to lose it, but she fails and tears begin to roll down her cheeks as she sits down on the bed and holds her friend's arm: "I didn't tell you because I was scared of your reaction. I'm sorry."
"You didn't even care to invite me?", her friend dwells up as well: "Why?"
"Well Lyria-"
"Let me guess, she didn't want me there?"
"Are you mad?", Mava asks as she wipes away a tear, Viola being silent first.

"Mad? Quite an understatement that you both excluded me from one of the days we've been dreaming off since we were little."
"Vi, please hear me out. You don't have to worry about Maleficent either, you can beat her easily."

Her friend keeps staring at her, unable to process what Mava just said.
"Ugh, Mav I really hate when you're like this. D-Do you listen to yourself?", Viola asks while grabbing her hurting shoulder out of reflex.
"I get if you don't feel like helping, but-"
"What's the point of me 'helping'? Whoever gets rid of Maleficent, it won't be me."
Mava bites on her lip: "Vi, for the sake of Dundorma-"
"How am I supposed to do anything with a useless shoulder like this?", the brunette raises her voice. "I'm tired, ok? What's the point?"
