"Azal's sword sure is neatly put together.", Luxu's voice chimes, Braig however ignoring him. Just to keep concentrating. The other three are suspicious of him, Cinder walking behind cautiously, Azal in front, seemingly calm and not looking back. And then there is this new one, 9S. He raises far too many questions to answer. The annoying robot floating next to him isn't helpful either.

"So, how come you know about the Lunar Tear?", 9S asks now, to which Braig slightly rolls his eye. "Ugh, it's a pretty long story."
"I'm all ears."
"A creepy dude that lived for a really long time got inside my heart and told me."
9S just shrugs it off: "Tell him I said hi?"
While Azal raises an eyebrow: "I'm not sure if that was a joke?"

The group approached a giant metal cylinder. It's just floating over a lake in the middle of a forest, surrounded by fog.
Braig immediately raises his finger: "Ah, a Cindlinder."
"Stop.", the woman blatantly replies.

"Pod, what does it read?"
"It reads-"
"Soul Box.", Azal interferes. What wonder, the same language his books are written in, now appears on towers. They did say they have been inside a tower like this before.
"Interruptions are a form of bad manners, Unit Azal.", Pod warns the red headed to which he seems quite put off as he claims to keep that in mind.

"It is quite easy.", Cinder mutters as a faint smirk appears on her face. "You fight machines until you reach the top and destroy a core."
"And then?", Braig wonders, to which 9S responds: "We should receive an access-key."
Braig stops. A key, huh. "What for?"

"Have you seen this giant tower in the Realm of Darkness?", Azal asks while throwing his short hair back, a habbit he still needs to drop. His yellow eyes stare at him, as if he's trying to read Braig's mind. Brown suited him better. "We believe collecting all three keys is how you get inside."
"Why would anyone want to go there? It's not like a giant Tiger-Lizard thing is rampaging in that area anyway."

9S swiftly turns to the man far bigger than him. Of course an android wouldn't be intimidated. Despite the boy's blindfold, he has a stirn expression. "If it means to destroy every single machine out there so be it."
A gulp stuck in Braig's throat keeps him from answering at first: "But these things don't attack us?"

"They will eventually. And waiting for them to become stronger is a fatal mistake.", Cinder stands in front of the tower's metal barricade as she tears down part after part along ear piercing screeching. The edges molten soft, she motions to the others to follow inside. "It is best to destroy them as long as they don't know us."
"And you won't ask the others for help? Enemy of the enemy is my friend, and all?", Braig questions into the round. But the group remains silent.

No machines stand in their way. Not on a single floor. Only locked chests keep them from leaving. "We have your back while you hack.", Azal draws his blade. Not losing any sort of caution.

"No. No, no...", 9S' shaking voice is heard echoing through the endless metal. "The tower is a massive launch platform?"

"This is-", Azal stutters, adjusting his attire. "I don't understand. What for?"
"The human server? On- On the moon?"
"What are you talking about?", Braig goes between, arguably to have his own questions answered: "Don't expect Big Bro over here to know what a server is, but you know there's no moon in the Realm of Darkness? Whatever this thing launches, it'll go into the endless void or whatever."

"We have found a massive weapon and you act as if it isn't of any use?", Cinder raises an eyebrow, striding towards another chest: "Open this."

Another document.
9S remains reading each sentence over and over.

[Black Box]
Each YoRHa unit is equipped with a "black box", an item created by reusing the core of a machine lifeform.

Said black boxes were installed after determining  that it would be inhumane to install standard AI in androids that are ultimately destined for disposal.
