Heob's Message

A daily routine of training, closing holes, cooking, reading to Sora and Davis and now caring for a puppy. Everybody first figured it would all be a little too much for Viola. Some offered to take over a few things for her, but she always insisted that she loves to do these things and help wasn't necessary.

It is great to know the last few days in Radiant Garden were filled with happiness. Master even seems quite comfortable to be around the tiny pet. This typical voice people talk to small babies with. Viola talks to the dog this way now. She already took care of almost every single thing it needs for living thanks to Dilan and Aeleus, now all the dog needs is a name.

Especially happy is Sora, he instantly declares to help Viola in any way he can. First things first, Sora asks her: "You know Mickey's dog, Pluto?"
"Mickey has a dog?", Viola replies with a shocked face. He begins to laugh, shampooing the dog's back: "I think, maybe we should give him a short cute name too! Whoever gave him to you, did this guy really say nothing?"

How irresponsible can someone get? To leave his companion with strangers, not even giving them any kind of information. Not even telling them its name. In this exact moment, Viola's phone vibrates. A text message. Unknown number.

How is he?

Is it him? How did he get her number, she wonders. What if she does know him and gave it to him? As she gulps, Sora and the dog tilt their heads.
"You ok?"
"Yeah! I'll answer later."
She picks him up while Sora dries his fur. Now, pupper is a walking cloud. "I'm thinking an easy name for you to remember. How does Taro sound?"
Proudly smiling at her, Sora holds the animal up.
"He does look like a Taro!", Viola laughs as she pets over its pointy shaped ears after it sniffed her hand. Taro, now an official resident in the castle.

As Sora leaves to bring the great news to everyone else, Viola sits the pet on one of her pillows and pulls out her phone again, while sitting next to it.

Sorry? Who is this? And he's fine. Just washed him. He's very adorable! 🤍

On the other side of the conversation, a stone falls from Xehanort's heart. He lets himself bump against the wall, letting out the nervosity he felt before. "I saved a puppy.", he whispers, beginning to smile. He didn't expect to be capable of helping a living being that way. For the rest of the day, walking around the empty palace didn't seem as bad as it was before. The ones he sides with sceptically look at him the entire time. Except for Elrena, she seems creeped out: "Smiling? You? What'd you do, weirdo?"
"Nothing too special.", he replies and keeps walking, past Azal. He's just staring at him.
