Yunlan arrived late and still tired, going straight to the coffee area for a hot cup to give him some energy and keep him more alert. Lin Jing was over in a shot.
"OK Explain everything."
"The ward is full of security issues, all good but a bit extreme. Everything is recorded and everyone seems to be vetted before or immediately after they enter. Shen Wei was attacked by a knife wielder a few nights ago but he was stopped before he got too close. Now he has nightmares at the same time, every night, the same dream, the same behaviour and it is terrifying him, and I don't know what it is." Yunlan explained.
"Is there any way you can find out? Does he remember or is he blocking it out?" Lin Jing askedhim.
"Oh yes, he remembers but he won't talk about it, I've started to sleep in his room temporarily to see if I can find out, or do anything for him."
Yunlan sadly thought about it for a moment but then quickly returned to the early morning phone call. So far, the banks that were robbed only had one security guard at the door, which meant that they could narrow their targets down a bit more and rule out the others that had more than one and the officers all pick a bank to watch for another day.
Yunlan and Lin Jing went down to the garage to meet their chauffeur with the posh car, "Morning, can I ask you something, if we have to chase suspects, can you do that with this car?" Yunlan asked the driver.
"Do you have a police light to show us as being officers in this car?" the driver asked.
Yunlan had never thought of that and jumped out to collect one from the stores and brought it back, handing it to the chauffeur who attached it in the correct position, as Yunlan studied him, thinking that he's done this before.
"How fast would you like to go Sir?" the driver asked.
"Can you get us to the bank safely in ten minutes?"
"Buckle Up." he said with a slight smile only visible to Yunlan.
Yunlan and Lin Jing fastened their seat belts as the driver slowly and gently slid out of the under ground garage and exited into daylight, waiting to join the normal three lanes of traffic, slipping into a gap in the flow and switched on the blue emergency flashing light with siren.
He floored the pedal, speeding off to weave in between the cars, finding gaps in the traffic lanes as he manoeuvred from one to another, causing his passengers to feel compressed to their seat, securely fixed with the automatic seat belts which had adjusted their strength, pinning them in the one position for their safety, as the car glided across the surface of the road, swerving around the vehicles who could not match their speed and cornering on cushioned wheels. All achieved with the almost silent engine which was drowned out by the screech of the siren outside the soundproof windows. The car shifter gear and slowed gently as they approached the bank and the seat belts released their grip, coming to a halt immediately across from it, the clock registered the journey as ten minutes.
