When Lin Jing and the team arrived, the guards had the three criminals handcuffed and were waiting for them, with video evidence of them discussing how to harm Shen Wei, enough to convict them along with the evidence gathered where Guo Ying was shot.

He went up to Shen Wei's room to check and see how he was, hoping that Yunlan would be there as well, but the roles had been reversed and Yunlan was the one in the bed while Wei sat supported on a wheelchair beside him.

"Are you really alright, I heard the video of what they wanted to do, how did you manage to hypnotise them, risky." Lin Jing didn't really want to know and Wei knew that, so he never explained and changed the subject.

"Yunlan is still asleep, they hit him hard, plus he's been over doing it recently." Wei said while running his hand over Yunlan's hair as he slept.

"Officially, he was on leave from today, all this happened after he'd left the office. I'm sorry about the guard's death, he was protecting Yunlan when it happened." Lin Jing apologised.

"I know that you might want a statement from me, I'll give you one as soon as I'm able." Wei wasn't quite sure about what he was going to say, but Lin Jing helped him out a little.

"It might not be necessary, the video clearly shows that you were unable to move or speak, therefore anything that you would offer would be questionable, and only I have seen you as you are now, no other officers, they all believe that you are in that same condition."

"Thank you Lin Jing, you better leave, Da Qing is halfway up the stairs on his way here to find you, he wants to be paid overtime."

Lin Jing stared at him and smiled shaking his head as he left before Da Qing managed to see how well Wei really was, and stopped him from entering the ward, turning him around, and they both headed back down to the reception area.

"So do we call you boss when Yunlan's off, because I want to claim overtime allowance."

Lin Jing stared at him and said, "No definitely not," trying to work out if it was a lucky guess from Wei.

Yunlan felt the familiar fingers running through his hair knowing who they belonged to and opened his eyes while smiling at the same time.

"Officially, you're on leave, so there's no rush for you to move if you don't feel well enough. How's your head?"

"I feel alright, just a bit tired, what about you?"

"No more headaches, and I can control a lot more than noise, I'm very well, and apparently a millionaire!" and Wei laughed.

"In a few months time, when I can walk, I need to speak to the family lawyer and find out what my father was keeping in the vault that the men wanted access to, because I don't think it's money. Would you go with me, I'd rather not go alone?" Wei asked.
