Breakfast was very quiet the next morning and Wei was stealing secret glances at Yunlan who caught him several times when he looked away shyly, but kept cooking and eventually sat down, finding himself locked in Yunlan's perpetual stare.
"Are you going to tell me what's wrong or keep it a secret?"
"Yunlan, last night... Were you satisfied?"
Yunlan choked on his next mouthful of tea, not expecting Wei of all people, to start talking about sex over breakfast. Once he had managed to stop coughing and looked over at him, he realised that it was a serious issue for him as he'd had no previous experience of intimacy. He moved over towards him and leaning in, close enough for Wei to feel his hot breath on the side of his face he teased him as he spoke,
"I was totally satisfied, we are learning and that can be so much fun, but I will only ever want you, no one else, my love, we could practise some more before you go to work," He said grinninglike a cat.
"Pervert." Wei answered but smiled as he moved away slightly.
"When are you going to tell them that you are accepting the offer and saying yes to the decision? And do you want me to go with you?" Yunlan asked him as he continued eating his meal.
"I hadn't really thought that far, but I don't need to go anywhere, I can tell them from here. I don't know exactly what will happen but I would like you to be with me when I tell them," and hestared at Yunlan waiting for an answer.
"I would be honoured to see it all happen, whatever it is, my Dark Stranger." and Yunlan leanedover to kiss Wei gently.
The clock was moving faster than they were and they both had to hurry to be on time for work. Bo's driving skills were very useful in delivering Shen Wei to the bank and using the blue light for Yunlan to be on time, a slight misuse of authority but it helped sharpen Bo's reactions in peak traffic flow, so worth it in the end.
Lin Jing watched his boss enter and couldn't wait to ask him about his relationship with Shen Wei, he had a satisfied glow around him this morning, so he made him a coffee and took it into his office, putting it on the desk in front of him and waited. Yunlan looked up at Lin Jing who showed no signs of moving.
"Well, ask whatever it is that's keeping you here." he said as he lifted the coffee and started to drink it.
"How are things between you and your boyfriend?" and he still waited.
"I wouldn't call him a boyfriend, my partner, and yes things are going well, not that I need to tellyou anything, but thank you for asking, now back to work."
Lin Jing left with a huge smile, content to dive with enthusiasm into whatever case was on his desk.
In the down town area, some smash and grab robberies had been reported, no one injured so far, just shops raided by cars adapted to cause as much damage to the shop front as possible and escape with speed. Lin Jing would be involved with this investigation and asked Yunlan if he wanted to join him or send one of the other detectives, but he thought, why not, it would get him out of the office for a while and he'd be able to visit his favourite cleaver throwing butcher.
