The walk to Yoongi's house had been a bit of a struggle for Yoongi, but he had insisted that he was fine. However, Jimin couldn't ignore the visible signs of pain that Yoongi was trying to hide. Yoongi's condition was not something to be left alone to walk all by himself.
When they finally reached the main door of Yoongi's house, Jimin felt like he should leave.
He knew how his father would scold him for not returning home on time. But Yoongi stopped him by gently grabbing his hand.
"It's already evening, Jimin, and you're pretty badly bruised," Yoongi said, concern in his voice. "You should stay at my house for the night. It's not safe for you to go back now."
Jimin hesitated, torn between his sense of responsibility and Yoongi's insistence. But Yoongi's determination won, and Jimin reluctantly agreed to stay the night.
Once inside, Yoongi took out the first aid kit and sat in front of Jimin to treat his wounds.
Jimin immediately took the kit from him, saying, "You're more injured than me, Yoongi. You should get treated first."
Yoongi opened his mouth to argue but was silenced by Jimin's finger pressed to his lips. "Shh," Jimin hushed him, his touch gentle. "I insist."
Throughout the treatment, Yoongi's pain seemed to vanish as he was lost in admiration for Jimin's caring side. He felt a fluttery warmth seeing Jimin's gentle touch and concern, a side of Jimin he rarely showed to others but seemed to reserve just for him.
After both of their wounds were treated, Yoongi offered some of his clothes to Jimin to be more comfortable.
They were slightly oversized for him, making Jimin look small and adorable in them. Yoongi couldn't help but giggle at the sight, which prompted Jimin to return to his grumpy self.
"Stop laughing," Jimin pouted.
Yoongi's laughter only increased. "You look like a pouty baby in my clothes," he teased.
Jimin huffed and crossed his arms, looking away. But Yoongi found Jimin's pouting even more endearing.
He grabbed his phone and, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, snapped a quick picture of Jimin in his oversized clothes, pouting like a baby.
Jimin's eyes widened as he saw Yoongi taking the picture. He immediately lunged for Yoongi's phone, threatening to delete the photo.
Eventually, Yoongi got up on his bed, holding the phone in his hands. Jimin, huffing and puffing from the chase, threatened,
"Yah! Delete that photo right now or else-
However, before he could finish his sentence, Yoongi raised an eyebrow and asked, "Or else?"
Jimin stopped in his tracks, looking flustered and unsure of how to continue. Yoongi's smirk grew wider, and he leaned in closer, his voice low and teasing, "Or else, what Jimin?"
Jimin blushed deeply and turned away, grumbling. "Just delete it!"
Jimin crossed his arms, looking away, and pouted once again. He mumbled something incoherent, refusing to give in.
Yoongi couldn't help but find Jimin's pouty and grumpy demeanor utterly adorable.
He got down from the bed, walked up to Jimin, and patted his head affectionately.
"Wear your pants Jiminie"
Yoongi looked down towards his exposed legs and controlled his laughter before he ran out of the room leaving Jimin shocked as he realised that he was just wearing his t-shirt.
He immediately closes the door behind him.As the evening turned into night, Yoongi decided to prepare dinner for both of them. Jimin came down the stairs fully dressed and sat at the table and watched Yoongi cook.
"You know cooking too?" Jimin asks curiously.
To which Yoongi nods while preparing the dinner.
"Wah daebak!"
The pleasant aroma of the food filled the air, making Jimin's stomach growl in anticipation. However, his thoughts were interrupted when he remembered that he needed to inform his parents about staying at Yoongi's house for the night.
Jimin took out his phone and tried calling his mother, but she didn't pick up. He hesitantly dialed his father's number, fully expecting to be scolded for his actions. Surprisingly, his father didn't pick up either. He tried a few more times, each attempt met with silence on the other end of the line.
As they sat down to eat, Jimin's silence didn't go unnoticed by Yoongi. "Something on your mind, Jimin?" he asked.
Jimin hesitated for a moment but then sighed. "My parents aren't answering my calls," he admitted.
Yoongi sighed sympathetically. "They're probably just busy, try texting them" he tried to reassure Jimin.
Jimin nodded but couldn't shake the feeling of loneliness that had been creeping in lately. He missed having a warm and caring family, something he had found in Yoongi's house tonight.
After dinner, Yoongi offered Jimin to sleep in his room while he could sleep in the guest room.
Jimin initially refused but gave in when Yoongi insisted.
Yoongi told him to call if he needed anything, and Jimin nodded.
"Good night!" Said Jimin smiling at him.
"Good night Jiminie."
Yoongi left Jimin to rest, closing the door behind him.
Jimin scanned the room thoroughly, taking in every detail. His eyes settled on a photo frame placed on the study table by the window.
Inside the frame was a picture of a baby, presumably Yoongi as a child, cradled in the arms of a smiling woman, likely his mother.
Jimin couldn't help but smile as he looked at the heartwarming image.
The room had a comforting atmosphere, and Jimin felt a sense of tranquility that he hadn't experienced in his own home for a long time.
He took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air and taking in the clean surroundings. It was a stark contrast to the tense and argumentative environment he was accustomed to.
Jimin lay down on the bed, his thoughts swirling in his mind. He couldn't help but reflect on the day's events. He had never imagined that a chance encounter with Yoongi would lead to such a profound impact on his life.
As he lay there in the cozy room, the weariness of the day caught up with him. He realized how he had never felt like he belonged in his own house, how his parents' constant arguments had created an unwelcome atmosphere.
And now, in Yoongi's house, he felt something different. He felt a sense of warmth, of acceptance, and of belonging that he hadn't felt in a long time.
Thinking about this, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude and relief. It was as if he had returned home after a great war, finding solace and comfort in an unexpected place.
As his eyelids grew heavy, Jimin succumbed to sleep, the thoughts of Yoongi and the day's events lingering in his mind.
