The night was draped in a soft, velvety darkness as Jimin sat on his bed, his room bathed in the gentle glow of a bedside lamp.
He tried to lose himself in the pages of his book, but his thoughts kept drifting back to that incident he couldn't seem to shake.
He closed the book with a frustrated sigh, tossing it aside as he muttered to himself,
"Why do I even care? Why does it bother me so much to see him with someone else?" he ran his fingers through his mint hairs, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a faint knock on his window snapped him out of his reverie.
Jimin's eyes widened as he turned towards the sound, and there, framed by the moonlight, was Yoongi with a soft, enigmatic smile.
Without hesitation, Jimin crossed the room and opened the window.
A whispered "hi" escaped Yoongi's lips as soon as the window was ajar. Jimin offered a slight, bewildered smile and gestured for him to come inside.
Yoongi gracefully hopped into the room and sat down on Jimin's bed.
Jimin, couldn't help but be captivated by Yoongi's presence, even when he was still upset. His hands resting on his waist, as he approached with curiosity.
"Why are you here at this hour?" he inquired.
Yoongi chuckled softly and admitted, "I couldn't sleep."
Jimin couldn't hold back a scoff and spoke "Oh, should I sing you a lullaby then?" he retorted, sarcasm lacing his words.
Yoongi's eyes sparkled mischievously. "I wouldn't mind that," he teased. "But what I really want is something else."
Jimin furrowed his brow, intrigued yet guarded. "And what's that?" he asked.
Yoongi leaned closer, a challenging glint in his eyes. "There's a carnival nearby," he began. "It's just for tonight, and I want to explore it with you."
Jimin felt his heart race, a mix of emotions swirling within him. He was still mad at Yoongi for what he'd witnessed earlier, but the prospect of a night at the carnival with him was undeniably tempting.
He tried to maintain his facade, though, and said, "I don't want to."
Yoongi rose from the bed, walking towards him. He looked into Jimin's eyes and asked, "Why not?"
Jimin's pout deepened in annoyance. "I'm just not interested," he huffed.
Yoongi, however, wasn't one to back down easily. He could sense there was more to Jimin's reluctance than met the eye. "You're lying," he stated bluntly.
He maintained his cool facade and said, "Fine, I do want to go to the carnival, but not with you."
Yoongi's eyes widened, a flicker of hurt crossing his face.
Jimin couldn't help but smirk inwardly at the jealousy he'd stirred in Yoongi.
"Then who do you want to go with?" he asked, his voice tinged with frustration.
Jimin fought back a grin, reveling in the game they were playing.
"Someone very special," he replied cryptically.
Jealousy surged through Yoongi, and he clenched his jaw.
"I'll take you to the carnival!" he declared, determination in his eyes.
Jimin scoffed, issuing a challenge. "You can't."
A wicked smirk curved Yoongi's lips.
He slid one hand around Jimin's thighs and the other held his hand. With surprising strength, he hoisted Jimin over his shoulder.
