Jimin's school day started like any other. He walked through the corridors with his signature warm smile.
The morning sun cast a gentle glow through the windows, creating a sense of familiarity and comfort.
As he approached their usual spot, a small nook by the window where he and Yoongi would often meet before classes, Jimin's smile began to fade.
His heart sank when he realized that Yoongi wasn't there. It was unlike him to miss their morning rendezvous.
Worry gnawed at the edges of Jimin's thoughts. He tried to reassure himself, thinking that maybe Yoongi had just overslept or had a valid reason for not being there.
But as the minutes passed and Yoongi remained absent, Jimin's concern deepened.
During his classes, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He constantly glanced outside the classroom, missing the quiet presence of his boyfriend.
During the lunch break, Jimin decided to investigate. He checked his phone for any messages or calls from Yoongi, but there were none.
He asked his friends if they had heard from Yoongi, but no one seemed to have any information.
Jimin's worry grew into a knot in his stomach. He felt isolated and alone, missing the one person who had always been there for him.
He couldn't concentrate on his studies, and the laughter and chatter of his classmates seemed distant and hollow.
Jimin found himself sitting alone at a cafeteria table, his usual lunch companion conspicuously absent.
He picked at his food, feeling the absence of Yoongi's comforting presence beside him.
Lost in his thoughts, Jimin was startled when a voice broke through the silence.
He looked up and saw Wonwoo standing there with a tray of food in his hands.
Wonwoo's expression was friendly, and he asked politely, "Hey, Jimin, do you mind if I sit with you for lunch?"
Jimin hesitated, his mind filled with conflicting thoughts and memories of how Wonwoo had treated him in the past.
Yoongi's warning echoed in his head, reminding him of the potential danger of letting Wonwoo back into his life.
But as he looked at Wonwoo's seemingly sincere smile, Jimin found it difficult to refuse.
He remembered the moments they had spent together recently, the times when Wonwoo had been genuinely helpful.
"Sure, you can join me," Jimin finally replied, his trust in people often overpowering his cautious instincts.
Before Wonwoo could even place his tray on the table, a trio of familiar faces interrupted the moment.
Namjoon, Jin, and Hoseok approached with stern expressions, and Namjoon's voice was cold as he spoke,
"Sorry, but this table is already occupied. There's no space for you here, Wonwoo."
Hoseok wrapped his arm protectively around Jimin's shoulder as he sat beside him, sending a clear message that they were there to protect their friend and guard him from any potential harm.
Wonwoo's jaw clenched, but he managed to maintain a smile, albeit a strained one.
He nodded politely and said, "I understand. Thanks for letting me know." With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Jimin's table.
As Wonwoo retreated, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him.
He knew that his friends had his back, and he appreciated their unwavering support. Despite the mixed feelings he had about Wonwoo, he was grateful for the genuine friendships he had in Namjoon, Jin, and Hoseok.
