At Lorenzo and Skye's place, they sat in the den on the couch. Skye saw the photos and picked them up. "Lorenzo, who's this in the picture with you?" "My mother." "Oh, she is beautiful." "Yes, I showed Alana it this morning."
"When you're ready, I'd like to meet her, and I'm sure the girls would too." "It's still not safe." "Oh." Skye, what about you? Are you going to tell the girls about Althea?" "I don't know. I don't want to deal with her. Thank God she died." "Yes," Lorenzo said, secretly keeping things from Skye.
Outside, Alana and Lila Rae hesitated at the door. Alana didn't want to go inside. "Alana, you can't involve them forever." "I can't stop picturing it in my mind." "I know, but we can't stay out here forever, guards." Lila Rae said as Lorenzo opened the door. "Alana and Lila Rae, why are you both standing out here? Come inside," Lorenzo said. "We got some goodies from the coffee shop," Lila Rae added as they entered.
"Why were you both outside?" Lorenzo asked.
"We were just talking, that's all. Mother, we brought you some tea," Lila Rae said.
"Thank you," Skye replied as Lila Rae's phone rang. "It's Adam, I have to take it," Lila Rae said and stepped away.
"Daddy, we bought scones and donuts too," Alana chimed in.
"Thanks. Are you and Lila Rae hiding something?" Lorenzo inquired.
"No, Daddy," Alana answered, as Lorenzo's phone rang. "I have to take this," he said and went to his office.
"Mother," Alana asked, "why are you looking at me like that?"
"No, you heard us," she responded.
"Even worse, I saw you and Daddy," Alana said.
"Oh, Alana, I'm sorry you saw it, but we are adults and responsible adults," she explained.
"Is that a dig at me? Because I'm pregnant," Alana accused.
"I understand you want to be with Alistair, but you both should have been protected," she replied.
Lila Rae was on the phone with Adam. "Lila Rae, I got the deal," she said.
"Yes, I'll be right there," Lila Rae added as she hung up.
