At Lucy's new office—Lucy and Maxie were talking. "Why I'm here?" "We are going to open a new company." "We don't have any money; how will we run a new company?" "I have a financial partner." "Who?" Maxie asked as Alison came in. "Maxie, this is Alison Barrington. She is going to save us as we open a new company." "Yes, I am." "What about Skye's lawsuit? You can't open a cosmetic company." "Because we are not going to run a cosmetic company." "Then what?" "I was thinking something different." "Like what?" Lucy said.
At Skye's office—Skye was in her office. She was finally back to work and felt emotional as she looked around. Tracy came in. "So, you're back to the office?" "I'm sure you hoped I wouldn't be back. Nothing brings me down." "Same here. We are both alike." "What are you talking about?" "You're strong like me, and you fight back." "Yes, I do." "I can't believe I'm saying this, but this company needs you." "Thank you," Skye said. Lila Rae, who was nervous, came in. "Soon, Lila Rae will be my replacement." "Tracy, I need to talk to my mother." "Of course," Tracy said and left. "Lila Rae, what is it?" "Adam and I are getting married, and after the wedding, we want to open our own business. Mother, I'm resigning from the company. I've learned a lot from you, but I want to be on my own.""Lila Rae," Skye touched Lila Rae's hair. "I understand why you want to be on your own, and I will support it." "Thank you, Mother. I hope you know that Alana didn't mean to upset you and Daddy this morning." "Yes, I understand. She wants to learn more about my family. I just don't want to talk about it; it's painful." "I'm sorry," Lila Rae said.
At Jr-Jr's home, Adam came in. "Adam, why did you want to see me?" "Father, I need to talk to you about business." "What is it?" "Lila Rae and I have decided to open our own business. We both want to do this on our own." "I understand that you want to be your own person, not in the shadows of the Chandler or Quartermaine." "Yes." "I wish you and Lila Rae success." "Thanks.
