"Please you are the last person I want to see right now." I bet she said this rolling her eyes. But her actions were saying another story. The way she was staring at me made me want to just grab her then pull her in my arms and never let her go. "I didn't know that you can cook too." She said while cleaning another plate.

It was almost like the dream I see every night. Me cooking with her but I had to keep reminding myself it was not one of my dreams otherwise I'd have pulled her closer and kissed her already. "You don't know many things about me sweetheart." I said continuing chopping onion for salad. I wish I could sit here and tell her everything about me. It was relieving to see her normal after a long time.

"And I don't plan to start now." She said and started arranging the plates on the dining table. I took the salad bowl and kept it on the table leaning towards her. "Do you fear if you'll know everything about me you won't stop yourself from loving me little sparrow." I lowered my head and whispered in her ear.

Her heart was racing faster because I could hear her heartbeat. Her breathing slowed and I could tell by the looks on her face that she was not proud of the way her body was reacting in my presence but also that if I touched her she won't stop me. I couldn't stop myself so I kissed her on the cheek and went back to the kitchen.

Sid finally agreed to have dinner with everyone after mom convinced him. Spending time with my family has always been my favourite. And today it was special because she was also with us. "So Panchi beta how is your dad?" dad asked Panchi while eating. She never talks about her family much. Sid told me once that her mother died when she was very young and her grandmother took her in after that. But after her grandmother died she has been living with her dad.

"He is good uncle. In fact he keeps asking about you all." She replied but I can tell that she was lying. I saw it in her eyes. I have noticed this before also that she never talks about her dad and there is always a sadness in her eyes whenever she does. My dad was as always teasing Vartika about her future plans when the doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw Abheer standing there with a pack of ice cream. He came in and obviously Sid being a dramatic idiot started with his tantrums. "I'm sorry aunty I know I'm late. But I just couldn't miss all the tasty food you made." He said and sat beside Sid who was still trying hard to act angry.

After dinner Panchi insisted mom to help in cleaning. Vartika and I helped her because there was no way I was letting her do everything alone. Mom was tired so she and dad went to their room early. Sid and Abheer went to his room to talk and patch things."Guys can you please do this without me I have a patient's call to attend." Vartika said pointing to the phone in her hand. I raised my eyebrows in question and was about to ask her if it was an excuse. But Panchi nodded her head in approval and Vartika left winking at me. I don't know if I should thank her or curse her for leaving me alone with Panchi. I don't want to make things uncomfortable for her any more so I decided to focus on my cleaning the table.
