The night Rafe left was also the last time Alice saw or heard from him.

There was nothing. After a whole week, she hadn't received a message, a phone call or anything at all from him.

As a result, Alice had a hell of a lot of time to think about what had happened. And the longer she thought about it, the closer she came to the conclusion that the people were right about him after all.

Only she had tried not to believe it.

It was around half past six when she was lying in her bed, drowning in her own self-pity. Tightly wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, an almost empty pack of white chocolate next to her and her laptop, which she had been staring at for hours.

She felt pathetic. Pathetic because she knew for a fact that Rafe certainly wasn't chewing on their one night as much as she was.

When the broad light of her phone broke into the darkness of her room, she hurriedly straightened up. She wasn't hoping for a message from him.

Of course she wasn't.

But when she realized that it really wasn't Rafe texting her - once again - she sank back into her bed with a sigh.

Well, at least it was one of the Cameron's

SARAH
Girl are you alive?

ALICE
Barely

SARAH
What's going on?
Haven't seen you since idk
Last fucking week

ALICE
I know
Sorry

SARAH
That's why I'm texting you
Party at Kelce's tonight🎉
You have to come!!!

ALICE
Idk
Don't feel like partying

SARAH
Come on
It'll be fun
And we'll get wasted
I know you can't say no to that

ALICE
Alright
I'll think about it

Sighing, she put her phone away and took a look at the situation she was in at the moment. She was wearing one of her old sleep shirts, had eaten a lot of chocolate while binge watching her favorite show and her hair was definitely not ready to go to a party.

Neither was she.

But the parties at Kelce's were usually her favorite parties. And wherever Kelce and a party was...there would also be that one boy she couldn't get out of her head since days.

So if she didn't show up, he'd probably put one and one together and know for a fact that she was drowning in her heartache at home-no, not heartache...but maybe a little disappointment.

Alice wouldn't even let him think that he had hurt her.

She would take advantage of the party, show up and show him that she was doing far better than just good. That he was the one who had lost something, not her.

And about two hours later, after a long search for the perfect outfit and doing her hair and makeup, she confidently strutted down the stairs of her house as Sarah was almost there to pick her up.
