„I can't believe I'm doing this" Rafe shook his head, his fingers drumming on the steering wheel.

„You wouldn't have had anything better to do today anyway" Alice shot back and searched for her lipstick in her small bag.

This morning in the kitchen, when Rafe and Sarah finally joined Kelce and Alice, the two girls talked about what they were up to today.

A little shopping trip and maybe going out for lunch, but the day wouldn't be perfect without a personal chauffeur, would it?

And she had no idea how, but she actually convinced Rafe to play their chauffeur once again, even though she clearly hadn't done him any favors this morning.

Good thing there were advantages to a secret relationship after all.

„Two hours, then we leave" Rafe stated emphatically.

„Make it four, we want to go out for lunch afterwards" She took off the lid of her lipstick.

„I'm not wasting four hours of my life on you two"

„Keep talking and I'll make six out of it"

„You-„ Rafe wanted to protest, but fell silent as he looked at her through the rearview mirror.

She held her small pocket mirror in her hand and delicately traced the contours of her lips with her red lipstick, felt him staring at her as she rolled her lips together to spread the color.

She gave him one last smile before he looked back at road without another word and put her lipstick in her bag, leaning back in her seat until they finally arrived.

They hopped out of the car as soon as Rafe turned off the engine and she hooked Sarah's arm, the two girls leading the way while Kelce and Rafe walked behind them. The two boys didn't even try to look around the first boutique they entered, surrounded by nothing but summer dresses and skimpy skirts.

„Oh my god, look" Sarah grabbed a red dress off the rack and held it out to Alice. „it's so pretty, you have to try it"

Rafe raised his brows at the sight of the dress, watching as she held it to her body, before handing it to him. „hold this for me one second"

But the one second quickly became the entire time they spent wandering around the store.

Kelce and Rafe carried piles of clothes in their hands which Sarah and Alice wanted to try on as they continued to search for even more.

Just as Alice was about to place a bag on the top of the mountain in Rafe's arms, he took a step back. „I swear, if you give me one more fucking thing, I'll throw it at you"

„Shut up and stick out your finger"

„No, I'm-„ He tried, but she simply pulled out one of his fingers and hung the bag on it before leading him to the fitting rooms with a grin.

Oh, she loved the secret boyfriend thing more than he liked.

„I shouldn't even be doing this after what you did to me" He nagged and hung the stuff she picked out in her fitting room.

„You'll get your thanks, don't worry"

„I know, I wouldn't be doing all this without getting something in return"

„Yes, you would" She closed the curtain and turned back to him. „don't act all tough, Cameron"

He suppressed a smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck, the fitting room so sparsely sized that their bodies met.
