„Did you really forget what he did?" He scoffed in disbelief, „just because his life sucks doesn't mean he can behave like that"

„And because your life is so great, you can beat up literally anyone?" She shot back.

Rafe opened his mouth to protest, closing it again as an annoyed exhale trembled from his lips. He hated how she stood up against him, showing no fear in saying what was on the tip of her tongue.

„You really think I did that for myself?"

She looked at him in silence, not wanting to answer, mostly because she was sure he found his fun in beating up a Pogue.

„He fucking deserved it and you're acting like he didn't" He took a big breath, pointing to his chest. „but I tried to help you, because I...„

„Because you what?" She asked, making him shake his head.

He took a step back and put some distance between them, pulling his lips into a line. His hands found their way to his head.

„No, don't do this again" She took a step towards him and took his hands down from his head as she looked at him. „after everything I've done for you, the only thing I want from you is that for once in your fucking life, you're honest with me, Rafe"

His eyes stuck to hers. Hardly noticeable and yet so clearly they felt how the air between them became thinner.

A silence spread between them as the echo of her words fell trough the room.

The heat of the argument had brought her closer to him, which Alice didn't even notice at first. But...the look into his blue eyes, which looked like raging waves on the sea during a storm, made it impossible for her to back away.

„Alice..." Rafe whispered hoarsely as he moved closer to her.

And she looked down at his lips, trying to banish his voice from the depths of her body, but she couldn't.

And even though they knew exactly how wrong it was, that it would finally destroy the very connection they had, they couldn't fight the tension that was pulling their bodies closer together second by second.

Their lips crashed together, his hand reaching for the back of her neck and pulling her so close that she sighed heavily into the kiss and she didn't even grasped what was happening. All she knew was how she gripped the fabric of his shirt and pressed her body against his.

Their bodies met heatedly as the tension of the argument melted away between them like the hatred they once felt for each other.

The smell of his cologne, the strong, sharp scent, was dizzying, made her head dim as she felt his hands roam over her body like he never wanted to touch anyone else's but hers ever again. He frantically traced the contours of her body, which twitched in his harsh grip until he reached her hips and quickly lifted her onto him.

She wrapped her legs tightly around his waist as his fingers pressed and squeezed into the flesh of her body to hold her up securely.

Alice pulled away from him for a moment.

Their heavy breaths mingled in front of their mouths as she looked at him, still a little shocked, very very confused even. It was so heartachingly wrong and Rafe knew it, he didn't deserve it but god he wanted to be selfish anyway, to take her into his mouth again and breathe her in and breathe into her until they were inseparable.

And the sight of him...twisted her heart. She knew exactly what she was doing, every little second of the kiss felt like one more little sin.

Her mind forced her to think of Sarah. Sarah, who she betrayed with his, after she had promised her never to do exactly that.

Of the Pogues, who until recently were still her friends, who she betrayed with this after everything Rafe had done to them.

„We shouldn't be doing this" Alice whispered and ran her fingertips over the skin of his neck up into his hair.

„Yeah, we shouldn't." Rafe tilted his head and brought their lips together again impatiently.

When she felt his hard lips on hers again, Alice melted, sighing into him. Their mouths opened to each other, letting their tongues meet and she was breathing nothing but his intoxicating scent, fogging her mind, the uncertainty from before forgotten. Every movement of his lips sent a jolt through her, fanning the blaze in her core, building up between them, shared back and forth through their connected mouths.

The press of Rafe's lips grew increasingly demanding, taking as much as he gave, and she let herself get swept away, lost in him as Rafe turned to the bathroom door and pressed her against it.

The bathroom door rattled in its frame as she ran her hands from his hair down to his neck, searching for support as their lower bodies pressed together.

The feeling of his hips so hard against hers made her let out a shaky breath with the helpless sigh in the back of her throat. He took her bottom lip, plump and red, between his teeth and let it slide through, watching her respond to him as their hips met again.

„Fuck, Rafe..." She trembled against his lips and pressed her fingers into his shoulder blades, looking down at where their bodies met.

A groaning breath left him. „you...you have no idea how long I've been waiting for you"

„We..." She hummed, took a breath. „...can't tell anyone about this"

„Whatever you want" He breathed against her lips, nodding before meeting her in a passionate kiss.

He opened the bathroom door behind her and carried her back to her room, which was lit by the dim light of the fairy lights. As he laid her down on her bed, her back hitting the mattress, the material of her dress rode up her thighs, which he pushed between and leaned over her.

The fabric of his pants rubbed against her, their clothes being the last thing keeping them apart. Even if they had long since mentally fallen victim to each other.

And despite the heat between them, Rafe took a moment to look at Alice.

The slight smile on his lips sent tingles through her body. He gently brushed her hair out of her face, running his fingertips along her jawline down to her chin, where he ran his thumb over her rosy lips. And even though it was all he'd ever dreamed of - her beneath him, in a dress like that, with the most beautiful eyes he'd ever seen looking back at him - he held himself back for a moment.

He placed his hands next to her head and lowered his lips to her ear, placing a gentle kiss right behind it. „We don't have to do this, if you don't want to" He whispered to her.

It was as if two worlds were colliding with each other.

Wide light meeting deep darkness. The sun meeting the moon. A sunset mixed with midnight rain.

Mixtures that never really existed and yet it had come so far that they fell for each other.
