(y/n) (l/n) was notoriously known for uncovering the secrets of the supernatural. He had started a business from it. Mostly it was just reading tarot cards since he told others he was a medium. The fun part always came when the humans fell asleep. That's when all the creatures came out to play.It had been years since he started his little gig and he finally had enough money to buy a house. It had only taken him seven years. "This is it? I don't remember it being this far out from society." (y/n) had met with the seller in order to drive up and see the house he already purchased. Was it a smart idea to buy something you've only seen online? No, but he did it anyway. "Well, we did say it was a big plot of land that came with the house. I've been trying to sell this thing for years." The seller laughed a little before he turned. It seemed that he was leaving and (y/n) was okay with that.
He didn't want to accidentally say something rude in front of the old owner. The (h/c)ette's house was out of the way. It was in the woods. The closest city was an hour away, but he didn't mind. Privacy is what mattered most to him. (y/n) continued walking until he found the stone path that led to the house. At this point, he knew there wasn't much left before he got there. The man knew the reason no one wanted the house, but he didn't care. At least he knew no one would come near.
The (h/c)ette finally reached the dark-colored house. It needed some fixing up but it was perfect. "Alright, how haunted are we?" It was a question he didn't need an answer to. The place looked scary enough to be in horror movies and if the rumors were true then this house was visited by a lot of creatures. (y/n) was quick to get inside and start cleaning. He had all day to get everything cleaned up and ready to go. There was a lot in need, the whole house was dusty which made him curious as to how the owner lived here before.
The place seemed abandoned but the (h/c)ette had to admit that he was enjoying the vintage look of everything. After about an hour of cleaning (y/n) stopped to get some water and eat the food he had packed. He would have to do grocery shopping or order a pizza because this wasn't going to cut it for much longer. Footsteps ran across behind the (h/c)ette which caused him to pause and put his water down.
"Hello?" His (e/c) eyes observed the room. There didn't seem to be anything moving around. The sun was going down slowly and he knew he would need to turn the lights on soon. More footsteps sounded, "I'm all ears if you want to chat." (y/n) was trying a friendly approach since he wasn't sure if this was a physical being. The footsteps slowed down as they came closer. "Even if I did want to chat, can you hear me?" Izuku was tired of trying to communicate. The last time he tried the person could only ever hear his footsteps which scared them so they left.
"Yes, why wouldn't I be able to?"
(y/n) turned around to see a man with green hair and freckles. He was cute but clearly, he was a ghost, he had a slight see-through problem. "Oh, you can hear me? I mean, you really do hear what I'm saying right? This could be a joke." (y/n) could see that the other male was clearly excited but there was nothing more to it. He could be evil and he needed to go. "Not a joke, what's your name?" There couldn't be any harm in getting to know the ghost a little. Nothing would change."Oh, My name is Izuku Midoriya. It's finally nice to talk to someone. Can you see me or should I make myself visible?" Izuku was curious how far things could go. Normally he wouldn't be able to be seen or heard but he had been practicing making himself visible. "I can see you, you're just a little see-through. It's nice to meet you Izuku, I'm (y/n) (l/n)." The (h/c)ette smiled, it was a shame. Izuku seemed really sweet.
In a matter of seconds, the green-haired male became completely visible to the point that (y/n) questioned if he really was a ghost. "Wow, you look so.. so real." The taller male reached out on instinct, and when his hand reached the other male they both jumped back in shock. "Did you?" Izuku's eyes were frantic, even more so when the other male nodded. "I really felt that. I can touch you." Without much thought (y/n) continued to run his hands along the other male's arms. It was incredible, he had no idea why this was happening. He's never been able to do this before.
"Uh, uh (y/n)?" Izuku had become red in the face he was sure of it. He didn't know all the science of being a ghost but this was the first time he had been touched in years. "Oh, sorry. This is just so cool." The
(h/c)ette removed his hands and shrugged a little, he might need to do more research on this later. "How long have you lived here?" It was a simple question but even (y/n) could tell that the other male didn't want to answer it. "Just about ten years I think, I'm twenty-three." Izuku scratched the back of his head, this subject was not one he favored speaking about. The two chatted for a while and ended up cleaning together. They had been pleasantly surprised to see that Izuku was able to touch a lot more things than he had previously thought. They talked about tons of things and it had led to the shorter male speaking on a legend he heard once. "You know they say that when a ghost is finally able to touch a human it's because they're fated to meet in all their lives. My mom used to tell me a story as a kid about the medium and the ghost. They always met in the mediums next life and they fall in love every time." It was something that the (h/c)ette would have never thought of but it seemed slightly possible.
Maybe not falling in love but friends at least. The two finished cleaning around midnight and they were quick to finish up before decided it'd be best to sleep. "Hey, I know this might be weird but it's been a while since I slept in the same bed as someone.." Izuku let his sentence trail off, it was silly but he did miss it. He had been lonely for such a long time and even though ghosts don't exactly sleep he can at least rest peacefully for a little while. "Sure, I guess it'll be alright just this once." (y/n) had to admit that he didn't mind at all but he just didn't want this to get out of hand.
He was turning twenty-three soon and he was sure he'd get a boyfriend. There was no way he could have a ghost sleeping with him when he had a boyfriend. The two made their way up to the room, the bed was quite large. "So tell me, have you ever been in love then? You died pretty young." The question seemed insensitive but the (h/c)ette had been thinking about it ever since he heard how old the other male was. He started to remove his clothes in order to change them into comfortable ones.
"Yeah, I actually had a boyfriend before I died. He was really into ghosts. It's kind of funny you know, he had been reading tarot cards for months. I never believed in that stuff so when he told me he talked to a ghost I thought he was lying. Turns out he wasn't all that wrong. He used to tell me-"
he had no idea how but, "That one day when you've passed.. he'd want you to visit him as a ghost and that the two of you would always meet again." (y/n) finished Izuku's sentence before turning around. For years he wasn't sure what his end goal was and he wasn't even sure he wanted to buy this house but he knew he had to.
"You knew him?" Izuku was confused for a moment, this was so strange. "I thought you seemed too sweet to be a regular ghost. Maybe you were right and this was fate bringing us together." (y/n) smiled a little bit before lying down in the bed next to the other male. The two stayed silent for a moment before the (h/c)ette decided this couldn't be all that bad. Besides, at least this way he already had a boyfriend. "Goodnight Izuku." (y/n) turned over before giving the other male a quick kiss, he had expected not to feel anything but he was pleasantly surprised to feel cold lips against his.
"I didn't think, I mean, you don't have to do that sort of thing for me. I can wait till we both get comfortable with one another. I'm supposed to warm up too, physically I mean."Izuku smiled a little, he enjoyed the moment but he wanted to be sure the other male wasn't pushing himself. "Does that have something to do with the legend of ghost lovers or something?" It was only half a joke but when the shorter male nodded (y/n) shut up.
The two went to sleep shortly after. It had been a weird day but neither of them could complain. The (h/c)ette would have to see if there was a way to recover his past memories. He wanted to know if there was a way to remember how Izuku was. If there was a chance to get to know him better then he would take it. After, he would do everything he could to be the best boyfriend until his next life. He would do better. Next time, he would remember sooner.
