Time makes the heart grow stronger (revising)

A year and a half has past and the twins were running around causing havoc and destruction everywhere they go, but darn if they aren't the most adorable creatures Alexis has ever seen. They definitely had Eustass's dna in them. Rouge was the spliting image of Kid minus her brown eyes that she got from her mother. Ace looks exactly like his name sake, but with Kid's red eyes. They both had Alexis' freckles and she absolutely love and adore them.

Rouge is a daddy's girl. She always wants to be around Kid. She even loves building and creating things. Kid was happy to share his hobbies with his daughter. Ace was a momma's boy and has taken an interest in music. Brook was more than happy to teach the little tyke something. Though being only one Ace quickly finds something else to catch his attention. He never strays to far from her side.

When the twins are together mischief happens.
Law had to make sure to lock the Med bay so the little rascals would not get hurt, while they try to break or take things things apart in there.

The whole crew, despite the twins energy, absolutely love them. They were the most spoiled, within reason, brats ever.

Currently Uncle Ussop and Uncle Luffy was playing and chasing them around the deck as Alexis rested near by watching them with a smile, with nice refreshing drink in her hand courtesy of Sanji.

Alexis never had to fear for their safety. Someone was more than happy to watch or play with them. Even if they do get a little scrapped up, the twins always run to Law with their scraped knees or minor injuries, so their papa could treat them. Law treats it like a serious injury even though it only just needed a bandaid. They twins eat it up causing him to smile softly to himself once they rush off again. He was so gentle and loving with them. She loved watching her raven haired lover interact with them.

Law was currently sitting next Alexis as she leaned against him with his arm wrapped around her shoulder. He fondly watched the twins laughing as they keep dodging just out of the straw hat's reach. He would never ask her, but secretly wanted children of his own. It wasn't that he didn't consider the twins his, but he wondered what a child would look like with his and Alexis' dna mixed together. He respected her wish of not wanting more. He even understood her reasoning behind it. That didn't stop the longing he had. He thought he hid it well, but little did he know that his boyfriend Eustass, notice it.

As time past their bond has gotten nothing, but stronger. Every day she discover something that makes her fall in love with these two idiots all over again. She was so happy to have them in her life.

They had to set some time once a week  for some quality time with each other. That was actually one of the conditions Alexis set for all of them, when they all got back together. Law took charge to write out a schedule and plan for it.

It was going really well though lately Kid has been locking himself up in the basement working on some big project. When they ask if he could tell them what it was, his only response is a grin, not telling them anything. He was being super secretive about it.

Today just so happens to be Law's and Alexis' time for their date. They were about to dock at the closest island to them and then they were going to walk around town doing some small shopping. She did need to get new clothes and supplies for the twins. They keep out growing everything, getting them dirty or destroyed beyond saving.
Law was coming along to help her with it.

As they shopped around, Law couldn't help smiling  as he watch, her gasping and cooing at all the adorable baby stuff. This only added more to his longing for children of his own with Alexis.

Once everything was paid for Law gently took the bags from her. She smiled her thanks as they walked hand in hand. In one of the stores earlier they over heard a couple of women gossiping about a cafe that just opened up on the beach. That it was the ideal date destination.
So that was where they went to. The cafe was small, but adorable. It even had an open walls concept so you can still enjoy the ocean as you dine. The sound of the waves was so relaxing. One of many reason she enjoyed being on a ship.
