Waltzing for the Past

Law sighs as he finishes up his look having some trouble with his tie. Alexis walks over to him. "Here, let me help." She gently took over, tying it properly. Law was staring at her the entire time in awe.

Alexis pulls back as she noticed his look. "Do I look okay?" She nervously asked for she never really wore dresses. The last time was on their wedding day. Law smiles. "You look breathtakingly beautiful, Angel-ya."

Alexis smiles. "And you look handsome in your suit."

Law cleared his throat. "So we remember the plan?"

Alexis nods. "Yep. We are posing as nobility at this very lavish party. Our goal is to blend in and secure the treasure, a devil fruit."

Law nods and looks down. "The Nagi Nagi no mi." Law shook his head and smiled at his wife. "Thank you for helping me get it, Angel-ya. I know it isn't a super powerful fruit, but it's special nonetheless." He grabs her masquerade mask and places it on her face. "Your eyes look great in this."

Alexis smiles at him. "Of course. It's special to you, so it's important to me. I was the same way with the Mera mera no mi fruit." She gently placed his mask on for him. "My eyes don't compare to how pretty and mysterious yours look in this mask."

Law smiles with a chuckle. "Agree to disagree." Law learned not to voice his self-deprecating thoughts. Alexis always told him he was wrong until he finally started to believe it.

The door opened to reveal their husband who was still pouting he wasn't allowed to go until he saw his spouses. "You two look damn good. Like pretty presents I'm itching to open." He crowded the two, kissing each one as he grabs their butts.

Law laughs and pushes his hands away. "Eustass-ya, we don't have time for that, but we are all yours when we get back."

Kid pouts again. "Still don't see why I can't come too."

Alexis laughs as she kissed her red headed husband. "We wouldn't be able to pass you off as noble, and you can't dance, despite Law's efforts to teach you. Dancing is something nobles know how to do well." Kid pouts more as she smiles at him. "But like pretty eyes said, we are all yours once the treasure is ours and we returned safely back to the ship."

Law offered her his arm. "Shall we, my lady?" He teased.

She grins as she hooked her hand onto his arm. "We shall, my good sir." She winks as the two made their way off the ship.

Kid was still not happy they were going alone, but he knew they had a better chance at succeeding if he stayed here on the ship. He just hoped they stayed safe.

It didn't take long to arrive in the carriage they rented, Penguin driving it. "You two be safe." He quietly told them as he drove away. The two interlock arms again and set their posture to an appropriate angle.

Law managed to talk their way passed the guards and into the party. Alexis gave him an appreciative glance before looking straight ahead once again. There were several nobles spread out around the room, drinking and laughing and dancing.

Law grabs two glasses of champagne off a tray that a waiter was carrying and handed one to her. "We would look out of place if we did not participate."

Alexis sighs as she took it with a thankful glance. "I know, I just really dislike these people." She whispers. These were the same people Sabo grew up with. She took a sip of champagne as her eyes scanned the area subtly. The two chatted with each other quietly before they started mingling with the other guest. As the two pirates started gathering information they needed, the nobles didn't suspect a thing.
