Foreplay circus. The Phoenix and the Black Swan (revising)

Our favorite trio was taking a breather from all the chaos that has been happening within the last few month. It felt good not to have to rush around for once.
The children were being calm, keeping themselves entertained, while their parents relaxed cuddled up together in bed. That all changed when Alexis snail transponder started to ring. Alexis sighs as she chose to ignore it burying her face further into Kid's chest with a groan. She was not going to answer it, as she waited for the ringing to stop. "If it was important they'll call back later." She grumbled under her breath.
Oh how she spoke to soon. It started to ring again.
"Momma, your snail is ringing" Rosinante sweetly called out to her from the doorway of their room.
She smiles over at her adorable blonde son. "Thank you sweetie." She got up to give this annoying caller a piece of her mind. Kid was curious about who kept trying to contact his wife. Law was once again being dragged along by Kid, as they followed after her.

Alexis answers with a growl "what do you want?"
"Is that any way to talk to your favorite uncle?" A familiar clowns voice said offendedly on the other side of the line.
She rolls her eyes as a grin quickly replaced her frown. "Uncle Shanks! Wow your voice changed so much" she teased him.
Buggy grumbled about Shanks yet again beating him at something. "Hahaha, hilarious."
She laughs "I know right!"
Law rolls his eyes as he watched his wife fondly, as she continued to relentlessly tease her uncle. Both her Husbands were glad to not be on the receiving end of her teasing this time. Buggy cleared his throat after a while "anyways the reason why I'm calling....."
Alexis sighs as she listened to his flashy tale.
"I'm short an act, due to some unfortunate circumstances. They had to depart from their lives." Buggy grumbled before cheerfully continuing "so I thought, who better to replace them then my super talented niece." Buggy said.
"Look Buggy......"
"The crowd always loved when you make an appearance in my circus."
"Uncle Buggy, I'm a mother of 6 kids, a captain and an emperor. I don't have time for that anymore" Alexis shoulders sank slightly as she told her uncle this. Truth be told, she would absolutely love to perform again, but she wasn't the same person she was back then. Back then she was on her own, traveling from place to place. She only agreed to perform in his circus acts was she needed money or place to lay low. She didn't expect to love every second of it.
"Come on, pleasssssssse? Just one night. That's all I'm asking. Come on Alexis, help your dear uncle out here."
Law studied her reaction as she declined her uncle's pleads repeatedly. He could tell she really wanted to do it. "You should do it, beautiful" Law encouraged hugging her from behind. She smiled over her shoulder at him "are you sure.?" He nods "I can tell that you want to" she grins before returning to the call. "Sure, I'm in"

Kid grins as he decided to speak up "Law can do some pretty weird shit too"
Law glares at his husband for this. "Thanks, meathead-ya" he replied sarcastically. Kid just grins wider at him.
Buggy grins "Alexis usually performs alone, but it would be something new for the crowd if she had a partner this go round" Buggy liked that idea very much so. Plus he had seen how she interacts with her raven haired husband, they would work well together.

Law was going to decline this ridiculous delusion until he looked over at his wife. She was really excited at thought of performing with him. He couldn't bring himself to disappoint her, so with a sigh he begrudgingly agreed to this.

As she stepped into the circus tent with her raven haired husband, Kid wasn't allowed inside until it started, she looked around recalling fun memories she had here. Buggy's crew cheerfully called out to her. She smiled while waving back at them. It's been a while since she last saw them. Buggy grinned as he made his way over to the duo. "There's my star performers"
Alexis smiles as she hugs him " Uncle Buggy!"
After she let go, Buggy lead the two to the dressing room area.
Buggy pulled out Alexis old leotard that had a red and yellow flame design on it. "Here you go" her uncle said as he handed it to her "we also updated your fans to match your costume, they should also work well with your devil fruit." She ran her fingers over the delicate material.
Buggy then pulled out a matching male suit and tossed it at Law. "This will be yours"
Law was not amused by it at all. He was sure as hell not wearing this hideous thing. Alexis looks over at the suit in his hand and shook her head as they both said at the same time "He's/I'm not wearing that"
Buggy through his hands up "oh then what will he wear then." He gestures to Law's current attire "because I'm not allowing him on stage dressed like that"
Law narrowed his eyes at the red nose clown "what is wrong with my clothes"
"Not flashy enough for the stage, buddy"
Alexis pushed both of them away from each other, rolling her eyes "don't worry Uncle Buggy. You can leave that to me" she winked at him.
Buggy sighs "Fine, but no funny business allowed back here, missy" Alexis rolls her eyes and shooed her uncle out of their so the two could get ready.
Law sighs already regretting all of this.
Alexis looked through all of the costume racks to find something that would work for Law.
She pulled a pair of black stretchy jeans off the rack before tossing it over at her pouty husband.
Law grumbled as it landed on his head. Alexis laughs before walking over to kiss his cheek. "I know you don't want to do this, but I am very happy you decided to join me."
Law smiles at his wife wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her into him. "Only for you" he whispers before she pulled away "okay lets get ready. Alexis started stripping out of her currently outfit as her husband watched her. Picking up her old leotard outfit, she slowly slipped into it. It was a lot more snug in certain areas then it use to be, but still looked good on her. Law took her new look in, paying close attention to how the costume hugged her curves. She looked really good, he almost didn't want to let her go out there dress like that.
As she started to apply her stage make up she locked eyes with Law in the mirror.
"Shouldn't you be getting ready, pretty eyes? We have to be on stage soon"
Law sighs stopping his thoughts from drifting to far down a certain path, before getting ready. All he would be wearing was the black pants. He neatly folded up his clothes before Alexis grabs his hand, guiding him to sit down in a chair. She gently started applying black eyeliner to his eyes, making his pretty silver eyes pop more. She ruffled his hair some, before she stepped back to admire her work with a nod.
Law studied his face in the mirror before giving her a questioning look "You don't need that much makeup. You are extremely handsome as it is." She winked at him as she continued "All I did was make your pretty eyes stand out more."
