Mischief Unmanaged (revising)

Law was currently reading a book as he leaned up against Bepo.  Alexis and Kid were trying to out do each other in what ever new thing she had roped him into doing. The rest of the crew was enjoy this nice calm day at sea.
Rouge and Ace started to slowly approached their parents looking nervous. "Momma, Papa, Dad?"
The three stopped what they were doing to focus on their children. Alexis smiles at their two eldest "What is it, sweethearts? Is everything okay?"
The two sigh as Rouge spoke up "can we talk to you alone" she asked hopefully.
Law stood and nods "of course, gremlin. Let's talk in my office"
Once the 5 were sitting down Rouge and Ace shared a look before looking at their parents with determination. Rouge spoke first "We want to set sail on our own"
Ace nods "we want to have our own adventures"

Alexis smiles "Sweet peas if that is what you want....." she faltered as much as she would love for her babies to leave on their own adventures she wasn't ready for them to be adults yet. They were her babies.
Law noticing his wife struggling so he spoke up "you two are only 16, there isn't any rush"
They shakes their heads "Papa was 16 and already a captain of his own crew." Ace stated
"Momma, was 17 when she and Uncle Ace were Captains of the Spade pirates." Rouge pointed out.
Kid grins "at least wait till you two are 17"

Alexis and Law smiled agreeing with their husband on this.
Ace and Rouge shared a look before nodding as well. They were both okay with that.

Law was very supportive to their faces, but behind closed doors he admits to his spouses that he is greatly saddened by this. "In all my life I've done exactly two good things with my life, the kids are one of them. I'm not really ready to see them go, but I know I have to."
Alexis nods for she too understand what Law was feeling. She wasn't ready for little ones to leave yet either.
They sat there whispering comforting words to Law. Alexis curiously asked  "what's the other good thing?"

"You and Kid...." He looks shyly up at his loves.

The trio made it very clear to their eldest children that no matter what, for what ever reason, the two were always welcomed back with open arms.
They even provided a small ship for them to set sail in as a birthday/parting gift, which the two were very thankful for.

Edward and Rosinante were now 14. When they weren't studying with their papa to be future doctors, they were always up to no good with their mischievous pranking ways. Alexis was very much amused by their antics, it reminded her of how she and her twin Ace was. Kid happened to always be the butt of those two's jokes. 

The two snicker as they walked up to their dad "Hey Dad?"
"We made something for you"
Kid looks up and grins "oh really? Let me see" he eagerly held out his hand as the twins place the object in his hand.
Kid looked at it curiously before opening the object up. Which resulted in it exploding in his face. Kid coughs as he wipes the soot from his eyes. His entire face was black.
The brothers were on the floor laughing "that was a good one, Ed." The blonde giggled "It's a classic, Ros" the two stopped laughing when they heard their dad growl at them. "That's our queue to get out of here" with that they ran off with Kid casing after them.

Alexis was siting at her desk reading over some of the reports while also working on the budget for when they next made port.
She was well aware of her two sons trying to sneak in. She knew they were there way before they opened the door. They were crawling on the ground trying to set up their next prank when their mother calls out to them without looking up from her work. "And what do you two think you are doing?"
They freeze trying to stay as still as possible.
Alexis rolls her eyes "I know you two are there." As they slowly stand up to face their mother, she set her work down looking both of them up and down.
"Hey momma. We weren't doing anything"
"Just wanted spend some quality time with our dearest mom" the two quickly say.
She arched a brow "uhh huh sure you were."
