Grian's Perspective-

As the months went by, I started to notice something about me.

And...it freaks me out.

Every day, I wake up as Grian.

A nerdy kid who's very shy and quiet.

I normally keep to myself, don't talk to anyone, and...just try and survive the day.

And then in gym, I'm Cute Guy.

This funny, outgoing, flirty person.

I always talk to and tease Scar and I'm almost always talking.

...don't you see?

Don't you- can't you see how I'm living these two different lives?

These two complete opposites are living in one body.

How- how do you balance that?

How do you keep living?

Do you have to choose one person over the other?

Do you have to just keep going as both of them?

Because it's really hard too.

It's hard to just switch like that and be so quiet one minute and be very loud the next.

It's hard to just keep to yourself one minute and be all up in someone's business the next.

It's hard to balance it out,

It's hard to have the two personalities argue and try and take over,

It's hard to keep them both under control and try not to make a scene.

And I wish it wasn't.

I wish I knew who I was supposed to be.

I wish I knew how I should act.

...and yet I don't.

And I never will.

Maybe I was just meant to feel like I'm two different people.

And you know? I've found something that these two different people have in common.

Both of them,

Have a crush on Scar.

-

"Hey Hot Guy." I smirked, winking at Scar as I stood next to him in the gym. We were both wearing our superhero uniforms and ready to train.

Scar blushed and he chuckled.

"Hey cutie. Or was your name Cutie-Pie?" Scar asked, smirking.

I rolled my eyes and playfully flicked his forehead.

"I think you know what my name is."

"Cutie-Patootie it is then." He smirked and I giggled.

I liked him so much, but I didn't know how to tell him.

What would I do if I got rejected?

He's my partner for our superhero training!

I would end up ruining everything if I confessed to him.

...and I don't wanna take that risk.

-

"Wow, we're getting better at fighting villains. Good for us!" Scar smiled at me, and I smiled back.

"But...I've noticed that recently...well Grian, you've been acting...different."

"What do you mean?"

"Like you...well...when you're Cute Guy, you're all flirty; yet when you're Grian, you're shy."

"O-oh! R-really? Because I think I'm n-normal." I lied.

Kade looks up at me and raises an eyebrow.

"Oh...okay...well, if you ever need anything, know that I'm always here for you." Scar said, putting a comforting hand on my shoulder.

I smiled weakly before looking back down at my feet.

"Yeah...I'll keep that in mind. ...thanks." I whispered.

-

"Grian, you can't just bottle up your emotions like this." Kade said as I walked off from the bus and towards my home.

"I know Kade, but- "

I cut myself off with a sigh.

"Grian, you know how when that bottle of emotions explodes, and I also get effected?"

"Er- yeah?"

"Well, now it's gonna start effecting my powers and your control over them."
